hey yall the past two weeks have been pretty good to me here in Cape Verde. I was transferred to Cabeça Carreira (an area on the main island) and Im loving it here. The members here are awesome and really want to help us with the missionary work. This area is also colder than I thought it would ever be in Cape Verde. I've actually been a little chilly this week which is a nice change. The only downside of that is that the water here is really cold too. When I found out that my next companion was going to be zone leader I was hoping we'd have hot water (zone leader's houses are more likely to have hot water) but it turned out the water here is even colder than the water in my last area lol but I am thankful that I do have water.
Last night as we were knocking doors we knocked the door of a REALLY Catholic lady. We asked to just share a message about Jesus Christ and she just went off on us. She told us she's never gonna change, that she has all the Jesus she needs, and for us to never come back. Obviously I get disappointed when people don't accept us, but I've also learned to use it as an opportunity to grow closer to Christ. The rejection I face will never be anything near what He faced, so I can always turn to Him. I'm thankful for my Savior, I know that He lives, and I know that He loves each and every one of us.
Tenham uma boa semana!!
This area is really beautiful
