4th area - Richmond Virginia Branch

Elder McKay Martin Bushman

Captain's log, Stardate Week 37 or so. Elder Bushman and I had a week of plenty of good and bads this last week. We visited tons of poeple, had a lot of great teaching opportunities, saw some people progress closer to baptism and activity and even saw one of our investigators get baptized and confirmed. Friday, Saturday and Sunday all fell apart because no one kept any appointments. We ever contacted some referrals that turned out to be crazy. We also had everyone bail on coming to church. So that was our week.

Transfer calls are coming up this Saturday. After I left my last area so quickly last time. I don't really assume about those things anymore. I think I'll be really amazed the first time I stay in an area for a longer period of time.

Now that I have thought more about it, one thing that would be good for my birthday would be a hair slipper. I just had my hair cut and thought about how good one would be to have. Honestly, what I still think I would do with most of what various family sends me would be to look at different games and stuff like that. There's a record shop or two near by, but right now I can't really think of any use that going there would do me. Sounds like a good idea for a visiting the areas right after mission. For now things are a bit boring because I don't have much in common with my house mates, but we stay too busy to care much anyway.

Love Elder Applegate
