2nd Area - Culpeper, VA

Elder Kenneth Afemata

weekly email

(In response to an ebay order for Axis and Allies parts) Yeah that's just fine. I was only thinking about what parts it needed, but I was fine with having our home copy sent out here. Thanks a ton for all the effort. This week Elder Afemata had a personal moment that he shared with me. We have gotten along much better this transfer and I was some real improvements with him. Just a few days ago, he came in all emotional and thanked me for helping him learn the blessings of obedience, and for being stern on him.

Cool. Literally. I got a call on Thursday. Two people I left behind in Woodbridge named Isata, and Aimira have continued to progress. They were baptized on Saturday, and I was able to attend the baptism. When the zone leaders in that area cancelled on their commitment to talk about the restoration while they dried off, I even got to do a solo presentation on the subject at the last minute.

(refers to Gareth's letter from previous week about food and money) I wouldn't starve, so don't worry about that. I never went hungry or skipped meals. I decided to eat better that usual at the start of the month, so I had to budget the end of the month. I knew how much I needed and what I could live with. It was great that I got back though. One of the members in my current area drove me over an hour to get there. He really pulls through for the missionaries. So far he has been a great support when we are teaching people.

Attached is the picture of Isata, and Aimira who were baptized.
