Ello ther!
Hey mommy!
So, our new area is absolutely GINORMOUS! Its so big, and we are just barely getting to know it. It's been a crazy week because we have basically been taking care of two areas. We have been trying to organize the lunches and have been getting to know the members and also we even did splits with the other elders to help them get to know the new part of their area, that was our part last transfer. There are so many people to visit, and it just seems that there isn't enough time. Just a year ago there were 8 missionaries here in this ward, and now we are just 4. Its a lot of work for 4 missionaries, 2 companionships. But we are taking the challenge head on!
So yeah, like I said in my recording, I have had this really weird skin rash or irritation...I don't even know what to call it. Its been really weird, and so on Friday I went to see the doctor. We had to go to Resistencia to the main hospital there. The Lord knew that we needed to be there. As we were waiting to make an appointment, Hna Uriarte came in. She told us that her husband was in intensive therapy. After my appointment, we ran upstairs as fast as we could and got up to where he was being treated. His eyes lit up as he saw us walk in. We gave him a blessing. The environment wasn't necessarily ideal, as there was lots of noise from medical equipment, shouting doctors, other patients making noise, and just basic commotion of a hospital, however, the spirit was very strong. I anointed and my companion gave him the blessing. As we finished, he looked into our eyes and thanked us for being there and for being missionaries. He then told us that he was ready to go, that he wasn't afraid to pass on. Those words pierced my heart and are still echoing in my ears. Honestly, I am not sure for how much more time he will be around. For right now, he is hanging in there, but what I do know is that this man really is prepared. You can feel his testimony and his surety of the truthfulness of the gospel. Keep praying for him.
Well, mom. I know that the gospel is true. Its not easy to live it. There is constant pressure against us...and there's a lot of it. Pray for strength against it. I know that the priesthood is really the power of God.
I am sorry this isnt very long. I love you so much! have a great week.
