Hello again everyone! And happy almost-Halloween! Lots of good things happened his week...you could definitely say our week was filled with more treats than tricks. ;)
First of all, Tammy is still doing GREAT and is still planning on her November 11 baptism date. She fits right in with the ward and we are so excited for her. And we got her daughter Aireale and her kids to come to the ward trunk-or-treat on Saturday! #treat
And the ward Trunk-or-treat had a great turn-out, with almost 300 people there! Santa Clara 4th knows how to party. :) There were lots of non-members and less-actives there too! #treat
We also got to meet a new family that just moved into the ward, the Anderson's. They invited us over to have breakfast on Saturday morning. They told us they have been feeding the missionaries Saturday morning breakfast for 12 years, so it looks like as long as we are here, we will be getting a solid breakfast every Saturday morning with the Anderson's, which makes me really excited, cause they're the coolest! #treat
AND one of the biggest, if not the biggest #treat of the week - at the trunk or treat one of the ladies in our ward had brought another older lady with her, and told us that she wants to be baptized and would like to start taking the discussions!!! #treat #treat #treat
I am so grateful to have the chance to serve here in Oregon, and to have all of these good experiences! And I'm looking forward to many more...
And to wrap things up, a scripture from Mark 16:15..."And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." (I'm having way too much fun with the Halloween puns...) But I encourage you all, whether you are a full-time missionary or not, to find ways, big or small, to spread the gospel wherever you may be...or just spread some goodness and make someone happy. It'll mean more than you think!
