Two Significant Baptisms

Today we went to 2 baptismal services.

The first one was for Thomas Lorenzo Rossi, known affectionately as "Lolo". Lolo's mom, Yamila Caminos, works in the area office. Lolo's dad served his young mission in Colombia (one of the countries I went to).

Lolo’s grandfather was baptized in 1995. The mission president at the time prophesied that if the missionaries would go out and work, people to teach would “drop from the trees”.

Lolo’s grandfather was near his porch, in a tree pruning and saw 2 elders, 1 of whom was American. “Yankee, go home,” he yelled down to them. The elders said, “Can we talk to you?” Lolo’s grandpa, grandma & Lolo’s Mom (then only 12) got baptized. Today it was Lolo’s turn!

The second one was for Zulema Gomes, the sister who looks so much like my Aunt Jane Nelson (Grandpa Herb Patten's sister). Mom got to play the piano at both baptisms.
