This past week was an exciting one! We spent a good deal of our time at the mission leaders conference in El Califate, Argentina.
It was a wonderful opportunity to visit with the mission presidents and wives, and share with them a little bit about the chapel open house program.
We also were able to accompany them one afternoon out to see the Perito Moreno glacier, which was amazing!
Last evening we went to the chapel open house in the Monte Grande Ward. It was impressive!
The full-time missionaries did a great job – and so did the young people. Members of the Aaronic priesthood spoke using PowerPoint and pictures.
Members of the young women did an incredible job of presenting, along with slides, achievements and homemade goodies.
The primary children sang and showed what they do in primary. They shared their talents - one young man showed us his homemade smoke machine, some of the children danced on the stage, and the 11-year old piano accompanist roller skated beautifully around the cultural hall, dancing to “Glorious” sung by David Archuleta.
So that’s how her weekend was - glorious! We loved seeing our members and friends at church today. Martha got to play for the primary children.
We also met a lady from Sao Paulo, Brazil and her grandson. They were taking a little vacation together, and looked up where the church was - so they could come and attend sacrament meeting. They told us that later this week they were going to Califate too - small world!
