Mom and I are getting ready to catch a shuttle, go to the airport, fly to Atlanta and continue on to Argentina!
The big take away from this past week’s Preach My Gospel training, was to learn how to help others to come into Christ.
We had some wonderful experiences with our assigned, “other couple” – as well as with the member who we were assigned to teach.
Interestingly, in teaching our other couple and the member we were assigned, this scripture from Doctrine & Covenants 123 kept coming to our minds:
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
Brother St. Clair, a member of our branch presidency who spoke in church yesterday, also referred to that scripture.
Brother St. Clair pointed out that we don’t have control of a lot of things. But for the things we do have control of, we need to cheerfully do them.
