Buena Vista

Elder Arnett

Boredom beyond compare, Boredom beyond believe, mix it in a mixer and you are still pretty bored. I just thought I'd use that from a song and mix up the words. I guess the problem now is that we have so much yet so little to do. Really none of us don't know what to do anymore. It is kind of like "Hey......... you want to go do this?" The other one is like "sure." I might just feel this way because I worked out this morning and have tons of energy and don't know what to do with it. There is so much and can do and yet nothing at the same time. It only happens with P-days to. I am busy and happy almost every other day P-day now is more of a chore.

This week was ok. We are helping this less-active family try to come back to church. It is difficult as the husband is a baptized member of the church, but is extremely catholic. His wife is a member and believes in the church. Their son and daughter are also members. Their son Juan doesn't really have a life as he has kind of run it into the ground. We are trying to help him get back on his feet. He is half and half right now. It is kind of stupid as he really cannot see anything to motivate him is his life. The daughter on the other hand is trying to provide for her family of two. Her kids are super cool and just need some love. I got to help them the other day and played with them for a bit, so Elder Arnett could talk to the grandmother.

Bike stuff is about the same I am getting better at understanding how to buy the right things and work with the bikes. Wednesday was tough as we were doing great for the most part and Elder Arnett got mad at me. It was good as I got to talk to him and try to figure out the problem. We ended up going on exchanges that night because to be honest we both needed a break from each other. I got to be with Elder Lindeman and I went and talked with president because I just have been feeling weary with many doubts and fears on my mind. He was able to help me see I am still a great leader and a lot of people look up to me. He also gave me a blessing to help me stay focused on my mission. Enduring to the end is always the hardest thing.

We then had an excellent weekend as we had staff meeting. President was very happy to have me in there again. We brought up the status of the bikes and talked about all the things we have been doing. It has been tough, but we are catching up slowly and surely. Some of the new staff members don't believe we proselyte. I kind of laugh inside and say "if you only knew." We basically wrecked the weekend and had a lot of success with teaching investigators. Our biggest problem now is getting the ward ready to receive the people that will come to church.

We are slowly weeding out the people that are not so willing. We are trying to work with the families not just individuals, so they can support each other in the church. Equality is what we want here people! I feel like Captain Moroni sometimes. Why do you keep dissenting people?! We are trying to protect our liberty to choose, which is slowly being taken away in our day. Wake up and challenge somebody to change. That is my invitation as a representative of Jesus Christ I invite you to change and if your are already changing I invite you to keep changing. Then invite another person to change and have them invite another person to change so we can all come to a better understanding to one another.

My passion and fire is to preach the gospel and testify of Jesus Christ in every moment. I try to be your friend, and I want you to try to be my friend; but as well as that I want you to come closer to Christ, because we will all be able to rejoice in his gospel together. "Repent, and come unto him" (and maybe write me an email for those that don't) so we may be edified and perfected in the body of Christ.

Anyways this is your friend signing off,
