Back in the Brazil Londrina Mission

Dear family and friends,

My primary feeling today is one of immense gratitude. For the experiences I had during my first 14 months of mission here, for the opportunity to return home, the experiences I had and the people I met, and most important, I am grateful for the love of the Savior and his interest in and care for me.

Returning to the field has been a sacrifice. When I left the mission for the first time, I only wanted to go back. I stayed with this thought the whole 14 months, but as I packed and said goodbye to family and friends it dawned on me that I was leaving my whole life behind me again. It was hard to come back. But there is a scripture in the bible that says, whosoever is not ready to leave father and mother and follow after me is not worthy of the kingdom of God. I am grateful to make a sacrifice for the Savior, because I learned before that when we make sacrifices for him, our love for him grows. I am ready to make another sacrifice.

My new area is Campo Mourao, Parana, Brasil. My new companion is Elder Otavio Conceicao, from Rio de Janeiro. It is a medium city with two branches. The branch president invited us over yesterday and we had a great talk about the work. I am excited.

President and Sister McKinnon welcomed me back with open arms and so much love. I am so grateful for their support and for the support of each of you reading this, who have touched my life and influenced me for good in some way.

I love you all. Please send messages if you would like to catch up. I would love to hear from you.

-Elder Wells
