Happy birthday LaRae! Happy anniversary Mom and Dad!
On Saturday morning President Carlson called to let us know that Elder Greenhalgh will be getting double transferred into Warsaw with Elder Brown. Warsaw is north of Peru... Indiana is weird that way. He is excited to be going back to the South Bend zone. We then were told that I will be getting a brand new missionary fresh out of the box and will be training him in Keystone. I will find out what his name is tomorrow when I meet him at the transfer meeting. I am really excited for this. It will be some great experience.
On Sunday both Fred and Doris came to church. I thought it was kind of a strange first Sunday, since our new temple and family history consultants were giving talks on those subjects, but by the sounds of it Doris had a really good experience.
Last Tuesday we had had lessons with Doris and later Ahmet both involving clarifying and recapping the restoration for them.
The Church has released a series of missionary health and safety videos called the SafetyZone, and they have asked that we watch them in our less busy portions of the day, so we've gone to the library in the morning a few times this week. We can't figure out how to download them, so we can't watch them at the apartment. They've done a good job of making them entertaining.
Yesterday evening we tracted in the very bottom of the Gramercy apartment complex and met a guy named Scott who was willing to stay at the door and talk for a while. He became more and more interested and involved in the conversation as it went on, and we got an return appointment from him.
I'm feeling pretty good about our schedule for the next week. I think we have a good lineup of lessons for the new guy. We even have a lesson with Doris set up for immediately after transfer meeting on Tuesday.
Any training advice from you RMs out there?
Elder Greenhalgh hasn't really started packing yet so we have a busy day ahead of us.
