This week was so great! It was a little rough trying to find people and contact doors because of the holidays, and nobody was in their houses, but it was a wonderful week! I loved skyping you all! You are all doing so great! I am so lucky to have such great friends, family, and relatives. Thank you all so much for everything. My Spanish is progressing, and I will talk to you all again on Mother´s Day! Lately, my companion has been making me start and end lessons, and it is kind of scary! I love that he shows faith in me though. It helps to learn from experience after watching rather than just watching! He is a great teacher and trainer! We ate dinner with the Familia Dos Santos for Christmas Eve, and I had lamb! Wow, it was so good! We then went home and at midnight (President let us stay up until 12), everyone started popping fireworks! It was great. It is very different from the states, but also very great. I also got a harmonica for a present when we all went to Montevideo for a conference! It is great!
We talked to one of our recent converts named Hno. Pais last night because he didn´t have anything to do for his Christmas! We taught him about how we can use the scriptures to help us in life. I used the example in Alma 34:40-41. It talks about patience. If you bear through your afflictions like the four sons of Mosiah and Alma did when they were preaching the gospel, then you will rest from your afflictions. For me, this means that if you are tough and push through the hard things in life, then you will be even happier and more successful. I promise that if you all do this, then you will overcome what you want to overcome. I am able to promise this because the Lord promised it. The Lord will never lie. Anyways, it was a great lesson!
I know this work is true. I can feel it, and I know that the Lord is crying and feeling sorrow for his people that are not coming unto him. I love you all aswell! It was so great to talk to you all, and I will continue to pray for you all! Until next week!
(P.S. I can´t say y'all here because the missionaries think that word is weird.) Just kidding
Here are some pictures of The conference, the food, my trainer and his trainer, and the people in my mission!
