Week 3

Hola everybody,
In case anyone is interested I am officially the arm wrestling champion en mi casa.
For p-day today we got to go el templo de la ciudad de México. It is, in my opinion, the prettiest temple that I have been to. It was an amazing experience, and even though I couldn't understand a lot of the session, I could still feel the spirit.
On a different note, I'm learning so much Spanish, which is great but it also means that I'm in class until 9:00 every night. It's good but I'm also pretty dang tired at night.😊 The food here is usually pretty good, but my companion and I have been kind of sick the last few days, which sucks. We're given filtered water to drink, but we're not sure if it's the water or the food.
Anyways, my companion, Elder Beecher, and I have started teaching lessons. So far they're mock lessons with our teachers acting as investigators, but it's still stressful sometimes. :) The past few times that we've given lessons though, our teacher has only had positve feedback which is exciting!
I wanted to share a spiritual experience that I had this week. We were in class and we were talking about the power of bearing our testimonies, and I felt prompted to bear my testimony about repentance and forgiveness. I shared a quote from Tad R. Callister's talk from last general conference “I bear testimony that you cannot sink farther than the light and sweeping intelligence of Jesus Christ can reach. I bear testimony that as long as there is one spark of the will to repent and to reach, he is there. He did not just descend to your condition; he descended below it, ‘that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth." And then I testified of the truthfulness of that message. That no matter what we've done, Jesus Christ is always there, and he will never stop loving us.

I love you all,

Elder Ostler
