Me and Elder Wild have had a crazy transfer out here, here are some quick stories.
Two people that we taught in Oxnard last transfer were able to get baptized, so we got to go and participate in that. One is from India and is named Bala. He has crazy stories of missionaries contacting him throughout the world his whole life and finally ended up marrying a member of the church and is now baptized. The other one is named Maria and she loves the Book of Mormon and has read it more times than me (RIP).
One of our members takes the missionaries out to do an In N Out challenge and he buys you a shirt if you can eat 6 patties. The record was seven which I thought was weak, so I ate three 3x3's bringing the total to 9 patties. It wasn't as hard as I thought though, so I don't think I'll be the record holder for long.
We have been teaching this family (pictures below) and they are legit. Shout out to the singer Janell - her sound cloud is janellCZ.
Also this random guy called out to us and asked if we were LDSers and then continued to ask if we play the piano. He invited us in to play his 1800's piano that he had just gotten tuned. It hasn't been played since its beginning life, so I was the first to play it in like 200 years. It was in astounding shape, the beautiful thing.
Also about halfway through the transfer, I left my phone on top of the car because I'm not very smart and it decided to fly off when we started driving so I've been phoneless for 3ish weeks.
I'll be staying in Thousand Oaks this next transfer and my new companion will actually be the one que me Dio a luz, which is my trainer Elder Lezsynski, so were both hyped for that.
