👽👽👽🖖🏻🥸 Mission Countdown: 6️⃣...
It's the final Countdown! Buurr drrr drrr drr, drrrr duh duuuh duh duh! 🎵
Milestones, miracles, and mighty prayer this week!
Today I have reached 23 months of my
mission. I can honestly say I didn't know I could make it this far. But even in just this last week I feel and increasing and increasing amount of love, direction, and guidance from my Heavenly Father. This is the crescendo of my mission.
I had the greatest, singular, spiritual moment of my entire mission this last Saturday! I have been teaching maelee since I came to Pahrump several months ago, and Saturday was her baptism. It was the most spiritually powerful baptism and moment of my whole mission!
I was crying, everyone was crying, even 9 year old maelee was tearing up from being overcome with the spirit.
I believe all of heaven witnessed that moment, thats how incredible it was.
I love their family, and the grandfather and I shared a tender moment as we both got choked up from gratitude to God that I have been able to teach and meet with their family. It's been an incredible blessing.
I was asked to be a witness for her baptism and to help confirm her a member of the church the next day, and I was honored to be a part of it. The combination of feeling the spirit and thinking about the end of my mission has left me getting quite emotional lately!
As I think about coming to the close of my mission, I was at first overcome with anxiety, not realizing what I should do with such an epic change; the switch from mission to normal life. But in the myplan studies for returning missionaries I'm going through, this has helped me tremendously- that the only thing that changes for me, is that I don't wear a nametag anymore. Thats it.
It was helpful to realize that coming home from my mission doesn't mean reverting to who I was previously before my mission, but just a moment of adjustment in my continual conversion to Christ.
Last Sunday, I participated in passing the sacrament. As I did so, the tray with water handed to me had the bottom partially flooded, so you had to be very careful in order not to spill any!
As I passed it to the congregation, I noticed as they realized the tray was filled with water they carefully and slowly passed it to each other, trying not to spill a drop.
In that moment, I thought about how symbolic that was to me, as if being careful not to waste a drop of that most precious lifeblood of the redeemer and savior of the world.
What would that look like in utilizing the atonement of Christ in our lives? Are we careful to not waste any of that precious sacrifice? He did that for us so we could make use of that precious gift in daily repentance, continually growing, learning, and changing.
Do not waste a moment to change! Look forward and not backward, press forward in love of Christ! And feel of his love daily as you seek to love daily!
So me and Elder Whitney are training Elder Taylor, from Brigham City UT. We get along awesomely, all three of us together. I'll admit it was kind of tough to work with Elder Whitney at first because he is fast paced and rapid, and im more slowly methodical and careful in my missionary work. I was at first a little frustrated we couldn't work together well, but I remembered to love when it's hard and you will love harder.
Some mighty prayer later, I was filled with an increase of love towards my companions and I love them and love working with them.
Elder Taylor is just beginning his mission, and im ending mine soon, so it's been interested to see him adjust to missionary life very similarly to how I did. But he is doing great! I'm so happy I get to train in my last transfer!
Although last night as me, Elder whitney, and elder Taylor were about to fall asleep, Elder Whitney released a barrage of deadly farts that literally cleared the room. We had to open the window and turn two fans on to get the smell out. I love Elder Whitney but wow he farts a lot lol.
And thank you to whoever sent me food! Seriously, that was a huge blessing and I'm very grateful, thank you so much and God bless!!! Te llamo mucho!
