Weird Frequency Machine Cures Everything?? π€― probably not
Buenos Dias mi amigos!
Been a weird week for sure.
Let me start out with an explanation:
One of our wards, Sunset Ridge, is incredibly missionary minded, supportive, helpful, and kind.
The other one we cover, Painted Mountain, is kind of weird.
Let me put it this way- the most normal conversation we had this week in Painted Mountain was about nuclear technology that he didn't want to go into too much detail but certainly had a lot to share.
Actually, I've met several people on my mission who work at the test site for nuclear stuff here in Nevada.
Another odd member interaction we had was this dude who was selling this machine he said could cure basically anything. And gosh dang it was he a good salesman, because when he offered to let us try it out. At first I was pretty Gung ho for it. I was mainly just intensely curious.
Supposedly it uses sound waves to Amp up the healing factor, and it included a small device that could tell you everything wrong with you.
We all tried the machine that could tell you what was wrong with you, but only Elder Mulholland tried the big one that cures everything. He said there was no side effects, it doesn't feel like anything, but I swore I felt a tingling sensation or something when I used it.
So, hopefully I didn't end up with any weird frequencies inside of me. π€― maybe I can listen to fm radio with my brain now?
We had our interviews with Pres., he likes to get to the point so our interviews are pretty short. But he's awesome.
Oh, also this week, Elder Mulholland burnt his handππ»π₯. Well, more accurately, Elder Jensen burnt his hand pouring boiling water down a strainer he was holding. We spent most of Wednesday trying to take care of that, I had to drive him to the urgent care (I'm the designated driver now btw). It's doing a lot better now, but it was a really bad burn poor dude.
Sandra is progressing really well, she's excited for her baptism. Everything is going well so far! She said that right now is the time of her life where she really wants to make a change, that she has always known what she's supposed to do but is finally getting around to it.
π Here's what I got from my personal study recently-
In 1 Nephi 17:21, Laman and Lemuel complained that "we might have enjoyed our possessions... yea, and we might have been happy", longing for what they left behind.
In 1 Nephi 17:2, Nephi proclaims "And so great were the blessings of the Lord upon us", sounding highly optimistic.
Nephi and his brothers took the SAME PATH out of Jerusalem, but they experienced drastically different JOURNEYS based on their ATTITUDE.
What I got from this, is that no matter which path I find myself on, it's my disposition not my condition that enables joy.
I promise that you can find peace through Jesus Christ wherever you are and in any circumstance, whatever path you find yourself on, because Jesus wont let you walk that path alone. π
