The grim reaper whacked me upside the head with a plastic scythe 💀
Bullet point time!!! 🔫😎
- ☆ Our friend Kevin finally made it to church this week!! He called three times to say he wasn't going to come because he didn't feel well, but we told him he'd feel better when he came and went with a member to pick him up anyways lol. Basically kidnapped the dude to take him to church, all we were missing was the burlap sack and wooden club (he was actually pretty excited once he got over his nerves) but he loved it!
- I had a cold for a day, thankfully it only lasted 24 hours. That same day, the bishop whose Casita we live in was hosting a real-life Clue event for the youth, the bishop planned this whole crime scene with a fake dead body and everything. Unfortunately for an unlucky Doordash driver who was bringing us food from a member because I was sick, they were not aware the dead body was fake and looked pretty panicked, haha. The Doordash person was like, "do you know you have a dead body in your driveway?" And bishop Nelson just said "yes" without explanation lol 🤣.
- We moved Kaydens baptism again because his parents changed the day they wanted to get married to the day his baptism was supposed to be. It's all good though.
-A mechanical Halloween decoration whacked me in the head (lightly) when we were knocking a door. Let's hope they don't get any tall trick or treaters.
- on p day we went on a hike that led to a giant cave, I went there last January and it's way hotter in the summer
Anyways, it's been a pretty good week. I've started just eating protein shakes with fruit and yogurt and peanut butter in them for lunch, and I wonder how many meals I can liquefy. What would a dinner shake look like? Lasagna smoothie? I don't know why I'm writing this in my email just a random brain flop.
1 Nephi 4:6- Nephi went forward not knowing what he was doing, but doing it anyways relying on the spirit. Thats pretty much how I've done my whole mission, going forward with no idea what I'm doing. I would not have made it this far if the Spirit didn't bail me out of tongue-tied conversations and dangerous or awkward situations time and time again. Living with so much reliance on the Spirit to be there to help me out makes me want to always have it with me, and I don't want to imagine life without the Spirit.
