That's how long I've been out! And I've learned a lot about my experience and relationship with the Lord in that time and I'm learning more all the time.
I'll keep the email brief, but we were able to meet with our friend Fred again this week. He tried to cancel and say he was too busy, so we were like "just 15 min!" And he was like, OK. So we had a short and sweet lesson with him.
We also had a service project shoveling sand, it was only supposed to be 30 min. But ended up being 3 hours. We were all sweaty and sandy by the end of it.
We also had our zone conference this week, had some good lessons there and I got to see a lot of missionaries I know there!
I don't have too much to share this week, but I'll take the opportunity of this weekly email to share a spiritual thought I had.
I was listening to a talk this week, and the speaker mentioned the verse in Ether 12:27, that says "I give unto men weakness that they may be humble...
... that I will make weak things become strong unto them"
The speaker mentioned that God wasn't talking about our individual weaknesses, but about the weakness that is the mortal condition that afflicts all mankind.
Our mortal condition is part of God's plan for us, but through Jesus Christ those afflictions we go through will allow us to change, repent, and become closer to our Heavenly Father.
