Turns out Vegas is just a microwave
It's only spring. And it's already really hot. And everyone says it's gonna get hotter. When I get back from my mission I may return extra crispy haha.
But speaking of things heating up, our teaching pool is lit right now 🔥. We have had some great lessons lately and a lot of work to do. We've been meeting a lot lately with this one lady who is hopefully really close to accepting a baptism invitation. She is a professional dog trainer, and has three really big energetic dogs, but they are really well behaved. They were friendly, which is great because I can't say that for most dogs I've seen on the mission.
In my last area, a lot of people had big, mean, aggressive pitbulls who only had a thin crosswire fence separating them from two missionaries who apparently looked like their worst enemy.
But the other dogs are really nice.
We've also begun walking around parks, neighborhoods, and city trails hoping to run into somebody who wants to talk about Jesus. I think that's where I really noticed the heat- I'm very grateful to the good Lord that I am not on bike right now, because air conditioning is a NECESSITY in this city.
Since Elders Buhler and Strum (who are great and in our zone) live in our same apartment complex, we've been hanging out for a little bit after the day's out. It's not quite the same as a four-man apartment, but it brings a lot of fun that gets missed out on in just a two-man apartment.
There was a message from the Prophet that came out just before the last general conference, that me and my companion have loved sharing with members after meals. It expounds upon the prophet's message during general conference, where he asked us to be peacemakers, and He invites us all to both seek and offer forgiveness. I highly encourage y'all to watch this video if you haven't already- because it's already helped me a lot in my efforts to be more like Jesus Christ.
