It's been a pretty busy, but awesome this week. I don't have a lot of time to write my email so I'll have to make it qui
I'm just kidding, not that quick. But we got to go to the temple! The first time on the mission for me. The Las Vegas temple is really beautiful, and I can't wait to see the lone mountain temple that will be built in our mission!
There was a baptism in our ward, someone the other elders in Charleston were teaching. It was actually right after the temple trip so we didn't end up in the temple group photo.
We've been car sharing with two other elders who are on bike, so our travel time is pretty much tripled if there's a lot of errands to run like today. Those two elders, Elder McMahon and Babcock are really awesome though so I don't mind driving them around.
I actually had an exchange with Elder McMahon, it was a lot of fun! There's this big parking garage near the north end of the strip that's in our area, so I like to get pictures there on exchanges.
Also, at a member dinner, Elder Checketts had a dance off with Keith, so that was really funny.
There were also two blessings we gave this week, one at the big hospital called UMC and at another smaller hospital. The first one they were medically sedated, so we could only say a prayer with them in the hospital room. The other they were conscious, but he didn't have a tongue, but through rough communication it seemed like he was pretty grateful for the blessing.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but the medical district is in our area, so we often get calls to give blessings, and that's been a really interesting opportunity. And also a pretty quick way to get rid of my fear of hospitals lol.
