Feeling Old - Elder Ashton

Hola family and friends, it's your boy Elder Ashton on the grind out here in Manantial! We had a cool week and Elder Cooper and I saw a couple miracles!

So, one of the girls who came to church last week to support the Suarez family (the family of our friend who died) is named Oriana. Last Monday night we taught her a part of Lesson 2, the Plan of Salvation. We visited her Wednesday and taught Lesson 1, the Restoration. Friday we visited her, finished the rest of the Plan of Salvation, and put a baptismal date. For this Saturday, the 14th! She's 15 and literally the smartest person I’ve taught in all my mission. She understands everything and even reads chapters in the Book of Mormon that we leave marked for her. NO ONE does that. So she's a miracle.

Tuesday, we had zone conf. Lit. Got to talk to the BFF Elder Pendlebury again and his hijito, Elder Jones.

The sisters that we share a ward with planned a baptism less than 24 hours in advance (they called me 8pm Friday asking me to do a baptismal interview the next morning #annoyed). Bishop was 10 times more pissed about the lack of planning than I was, so now he has an axe to grind with all the missionaries #thankshermanas.

This week, will be exciting because all 3 areas in my district will baptize this week!!

Shout out to my youngest brother Grady! He turned 13 on Saturday -- making me realize how old I am. I'll be on a plane home in less than 9 months #sad. So I am making the most of my time left in the mission. Love you all, see ya next week.
