Week 15 Granjas

QOTW: The vastness of space reflects Gods love for us
My lovely friends and family como estan!? So good to be here again writing and sharing of the experiences I have had. If i didnt keep a journal i dont know how i would be able to remember things, so keep a journal folks! It is just a good thing to do haha. So the big take away was today which I was going to write about next week but it sufficeth me to write it today. We just had a conference with Brother Holmes of the Young mens presidency and ah thank goodness he doesnt speak spanish ahah he spoke in english with a man translating next to him. But he talked about something really interesting, the doctrine of Jesus Christ... which is Faith in Jesus Christ, His Atonement, Repentence, Baptism and Covenants, Recieving the Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the End. Wow what a topic. First off faith... faith is an action word, and as we excercise faith by feasting upon the words of Christ (the scriptures), our faith increases. WOW! I always wanted to know a sure way of how to increase faith, well read Elder Anderson you chinaso chino just read your scriptures and study them every day! It is so simple. As we excercise faith we are led to repentence. And it is important to know, repentence is incomplete without baptism by someone holding the authourity of God. Baptism is the physical action we take to show God our willingness to take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ, follow his example by keeping commandments, covenants, and having charity. The work of the lord is an eternal round. The path to the celestial kingdom is straight and narrow, but the pattern of the path is an eternal round. We have faith, repent, keep or make covenants (baptism or the sacrament), recieve the spirit and endure to the end. And real fast what a gift the Holy Ghost is. In this mortal life that is the greatest gift we can recieve, we can feel comforted, know the truth of all things, know what to do, what to say, how to act... how to show love for someone we thought we could never even beging to love! What a gift. Okay endure to the end, this is kind of the easy one to understand. Just do it. Keep progressing and renewing your covenants with the Lord by taking the sacrament, and attending the temple. In the eternal round of this doctrine every time we take the sacrament we get that much closer to becoming more like Jesus Christ. Little by little. Week by week. So if you have made those sacred covenants, I invite you to renew those every week, and really think what it means to partake of the sacrament. What an opportunity we have each Sunday. We were sent here to live this gospel, the true gospel of Jesus Christ, so come on lets live it.
Monday fue Pday and it was fun. We went to the supermarket or mall whatever ya call it haah and i bought some clothes. Learned the lesson again, when you are interested in other people you become more intersting to them.
Tuesday the spirit testified to me that this is the church of God. He is the same today, yesterday, and forever. Well the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church I know of that has temples in use, ordinance of the sacrament, fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and most importantly the authority from God to bless the church and people of this Earth.
Wednesday learned that the vastness of space reflects gods love... woah cool right?
Thursday was entrevistas with President and WOWW he is so cool i love that guy! Truly is a good friend of mine and i cant wait to get to know him better.
Friday we cleaned the house and i feel way better! A clean house is of the lord... so yeah boom.
Saturday was the open chapel! We worked it for 3 hours and tons of people showed up! I got to knock on 60-70 doors and talk to a ton of people in the street! Great opportunity to work on my spanish and try new tactics of finding!
Sunday we got to teach Sebastian a new investigator! Spanish and sign language what!! hahaa so fun and so good to see a child of God understand that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them... my heart melted right there and then. SO grateful for the tender mercy and humble privelage to teach this amazing life changing gospel with the people of Colombia.
This has been the best decision in my life thus far, (besides choosing to play the celestial sport that is basketball) and I absolutely with 100 percent of all my soul and body know that this church is true. Love it baby!
