Tifton Transfer 17 Week 1

Whats going on?? Week one in the books ladjes and gentlemen!! And HOLY COW was it a good one. SO many fire miracles, SO many fruits harvested this week, the Lord has been BLESSIN us for the good work being done out here. Life. Is. Good. Y'all. Let's get into it??
So for starters, we had transfers this week on Thursday, so the beginning of the week Elder Branham and I were just hauling around to all our different people so he could throw down on them before we left. And we had some fire lessons y'all. All our people are doing good right now, not sure what happened to them. Maybe just something in the water, but they've all started progressing a WHOLE LOT more which has been so nice. Day by day?
Monday
Normal P-day, not a whole ton to report on. Just went and checked out some of the shops in downtown Tifton, and they were NICE. There are some SICK southern brands out here, good thing I'm broke so I had absolutely no temptation in buying anything. We do have an absolutely ANGELIC member out here named Sis Lewis, we did buy something for her. She always wears bucket hats, so we decided to buy her a new one that all the missionaries who serve in Tifton can sign. So we did do that. Then we took the party back to the church and did my first My Plan lesson, wasn't too bad. Then talked to family, then finished off the night with a FIRE lesson with Trevian. He's really liking what he's seeing and feeling, and told us he's thinking about joining. So he's praying about it right now. But he told us he wants to be a Bishop, and he also wants to come do missionary work with us. He's on fire with the gospel. Literally a different person from the first time we met with him. He was reserved, wouldn't open up, didn't do a whole lot with the gospel, but once he started having more solid Faith, and started Repenting, and working through the Doctrine of Christ, he's been changed y'all. Textbook. How it works. So if you want change, work yourself through the Doctrine of Christ! Simple. As. That.
Tuesday
Pretty solid day overall. Had District Council, which was absolutely fire. We had such a solid training by the DL, Elder Palmer, on bap dates, and literally don't know what he did but the district is on fire right now. Every companionship put at least one person on bap date, two of the companionships put 4+ people on it. Solid work. So fire DC, then we just worked out of Sylvester for most of the day. Had some solid lessons, put Kimberly back on date for July 10th, had a SOLID lesson with Greta and she knows it's all true and wants to be baptized, then wrapped up the day with a solid game night with a few families.
Wednesday
Meetings. Literally all day. We didn't even eat this day we were so packed.  So we woke up, played ball and did our studies, then immediately went to DC down in Valdosta. An hour drive out there. Then an hour and a half meeting. Which was super good by the way. Then we immediately drove to Douglas for their DC, an hour and a half drive there. Then an hour and a half meeting. Then an hour drive back to Tifton. Then we had some fire lessons and contacts the rest of the night. So a long day, but super solid overall. Got some good talks in, some good motab, good day.

Thursday
Transfer day. We were supposed to be to Lake City by 1, and Louise wanted to say goodbye to Elder Branham. So we bounced out to Sylvester, had a quick meeting with her, and she had made us some NICE tacos, two huge trays of them. Such an angel. Then we said some sappy goodbyes, overall super sad. Elder Branham, Louise and I really were a squad. We had some good times. But we said goodbye, then just bounced right out to Lake City. Did the transfer thing, got Elder Blackner, and headed back to Tifton. Once we got back, basically just contacts and lessons the rest of the night.
Friday
Same old same old. Just a bunch of contacts, lessons, weekly planning, a whole bunch of stuff. We had a lesson with a guy named James who's solid! He had a friend back in high school who was a member. Basically, because of his friends example, because his friend wasn't afraid to share what he knew was important, James had a seed planted in his heart. And ever since that time, 40 years from then, he's been curious about what we have. And so when we felt inspired to stop his car, he knew God wanted his attention. 40 years after the gospel was shared to him, his heart's now in the right place to hear the message. So we had a solid lesson with him. Shared the restoration, which he said was super familiar to him already. So then we asked the kicker, if he had ever asked God to know if it was true. He just stared at us for a few seconds, and was like, you know, I never thought about doing that. And he was all in at that point. Asking how he would go about asking God, asking for advice, it was solid. So he's praying now, and good things are on the horizon with James. The rest of the day was pretty normal.
Saturday
Crazy, nonstop day. Just a whole ton of lessons out in Tifton and Sylvester. Not a whole ton to report here, basically everyone's doing good!
Sunday
Good day overall. Elder Blackner got sniped by the bishopric and had to give a talk his first week. Then we just had some member appointments, visits, contacts, a zone call to start off the transfer, good stuff overall.

So that's the week. We've seen so many miracles y'all. First off, Elder Blackner. It was sad to see Elder Branham go, he's helped me to grow so much. But Elder Blackner is a beast. Absolutely hilarious. Literally exactly like Ham from the Sandlot. So that's been good. And the work is picking up too. That's probably one of the biggest things that I've learned on my mission, that the Lord ALWAYS delivers. He may test us, he may let us tread water for a little while, we may have to stress and sweat and get on our knees to beg for help, but as long as we stay faithful, the blessings come. They always do. So if you feel like you're in a storm, that you've been treading water for some time now, DON'T you DARE quit. Don't even THINK about giving up, or that the Lord isn't aware of you. Pray harder, study longer, look for the hand of the Lord. Because I can promise it's there. And as you stay faithful, you'll learn a lesson and see growth that God knew you needed, and you'll eventually experience even MORE than what you were hoping for. God's good to us y'all.
Anyways, sorry for the longer email. But things are good. The mission is awesome. I'm loving it. Time's running short, so we're utilizing the time we got left. God's good, He's working miracles, and Georgia is the promised land. Have a great week, and remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!!
Elder Richardson
Scripture of the Week:
Quote by Elder Holland (An High Priest of Good Things to Come)
"Don’t give up, boy. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come. Some blessings come soon, some come late, and some don’t come until heaven; but for those who embrace the gospel of Jesus Christ, they come."
