Tifton Transfer 16 Week 6

Helloooooo!! What is going on!? Y'all you have no idea how excited I am to be writing this email. WHAT a solid week, WHAT a time to see the Lord absolutely orchestrating His work in a marvelous way. Plus we got some surprises coming y'alls way. So sit back, relax, and enjoy hearing about this BALLER week we just had.
So let's do a day-by-day this week. Make it easy, organized for me, and test y'alls patience a little bit. Eh? I like it. Sooooo starting off...

Monday
Not a whole ton went on last monday. We went and played some games at the church with the district, including this game called Happy Salmon. It's insane. Basically how you play is you have a stack of cards with different actions on it, like high five, fist bump, etc. In order to get rid of a card, you find a person with a matching action and you do the action. First one to get rid of all the cards wins. And not meaning to brag, but I was absolutely insane at that game. Literal cheat code. Then we went bowling as a district, then had some money lessons that evening with a few of our people. Solid day.
Tuesday
SUCH a special day. President and Sister Wood were making their rounds around the mission doing presidents interviews, and we met with them tuesday morning. I got a good one on one talk with Sis Wood which was so solid, she's an angel. Got an invite to their homecoming, and a command to stop by their house every time I pass through Salt Lake City. Yes ma'am. Then I had my interview with President.
And HOLY COW was it good. I've been thinking a lot about who I've become on the mission, the joy I've felt, the change I've seen, and the conversion that's happened. I don't want to lose that focus or those changes. So I've been thinking a lot about what things I can make a priority in order not to slip back into old Elder Richardson. Not that there was anything too bad with old me, but I was just so worldly. So self-centered. And I do NOT want to go back to that. I had decided to ask President Wood what things he made a priority in his life that brought him to the level of conversion that he is at. And honestly I don't know what I was expecting, something super profound or life-altering. But these are the two things that President told me to make an ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY-
1. Daily scripture study (especially the Book of Mormon)2. Frequent (preferably weekly) temple attendance
He told me if I can make those my absolute priorities, then life will just work out. I won't get caught up in the pressure cooker of life. And I've thought about that the last little bit. Why is it so simple? How does reading a book and going into a building build up a shield around us? That's the genius behind it. Because when we're praying and reading the scriptures, it's not just reading any other book. We're having a one-on-one conversation with God. That's how He can get through my hard head. And when we're going to the temple, we're not just going to any other building. We're in His house, His presence. So it gives us a reminder on what we're working towards.  Absolutely genius. So y'all already know Elder Richardson will be starting up a temple day and a scripture study sesh, join the club.
Wednesday-Friday
Basically the exact same stuff all these days. Just on the grind sesh lately. We've had a few battle crys lately, one of them being "you won't", egging each other on to be crazy bold, and the other one has been "Go to the edge". To make a long story shlrt, I heard a talk the other day by elder Holland, where he talked about how if missionaries want to experience miracles, they need to go to the edge. Now no matter how hard you work, how obedient you are as a missionary, you always can get a little closer to the edge, to see what the Lord can do for you. So we wanted to see how close to the edge we could get. So mom don't get mad, but we've been absolutely hauling through the work the last little bit, skipping lunch and dinner hours, staying out till right at 9:30, to see what the Lord could magnify our efforts into. And this week we found some of THE most solid people to start teaching. Such a testimony builder to me of who's really in charge of this work. We didn't really do anything too different with the work, same type of finding, same methods of teaching, but the Lord saw our efforts. So he sent us some solid referrals, inspired our friends to start keeping committments when they never have before, and we're excited for how the work is going.
Saturday
Phew, so sorry, almost done I promise. Saturday was another solid day. We did some good contacts and lessons, then we were in charge of helping with a FSY conference. We were supposed to guide a discussion on "How do I Recognize and Understand the Spirit?" So being the little boys we are, we made the obvious choice to demonstrate through playing a game of minigolf with the youth. Super solid overall. The kids were awesome and it went a lot better than we were expecting. We just had them hit a few holes, then discussed how golf and the spirit are related, then gave them a moment to sit in silence as we played Paul Cardall's "Joseph Smiths First Prayer". Such a moneymaker. If you want to feel the spirit, listen to that song. Instant spirit vibes. So that was mostly Saturday. Good stuff.
Sunday
Just your normal Sunday. Had lunch with the Largers which was solid, had some good contacts and lessons, not a whole ton to report on to be honest.

And now for the transfer news. Unfortunately, Elder Branham and I will not be running it back. The Lord needs that BEAST of a missionary other places so he'll be heading out. But fortunately, I will be staying in Tifton. And I'll be getting Elder Blackner. I don't know anything about him, but I've heard he's a good guy. Literally looks exactly like Ham from Sandlot, and I've heard he's just as funny so I'm excited. Gonna be a fire last one.
So that's been our week. Super solid, full of a TON of miracles. And y'all, being a missionary is so amazing. I'm just in awe every time I write these, that I literally can't fit all the miracles and tender mercies that we see into a single email. So there is SO much more going on, and I'm grateful for the Lord in helping us out so much. So things are good. Keep killing it, y'all have an amazing week! And remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!!
Elder Richardson
Scripture of the Week: Alma 37:6-7
6 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
