WHAT is poppin y'all. Life been good? Busy? Miracle filled? A frustrating day or two sprinkled in there? Spiritually uplifting? All the above? Good. That's how it should be. It's been quite the week up here in Tifton. JAM packed, absolutely revelatory, and one of THE quickest weeks of my life. How that for a hook eh?
So let's dive in. Tbh I know the day by day's a little long and I promised I wouldn't do it again, but too much went on this week to try to swing anything else. So bear with me. Skip down to the pictures if you want, we had some good ones this week. But lets dive in!
Monday
Solid day. District pday out in Albany, so we went and played some board games/guitar/sports at the church, we had a whole jamsesh going on which was pretty nice. Starting up a band. Then after our little hangout we went and played some minigolf at this funpark type place. Honestly looked so rundown from the outside, but it was SO sick. Don't judge a book/person/anything by it's cover ig.
Tuesday
Another solid day. Had District Council out in Albany, then we hit Sylvester on our way back with the bikes and got some solid lessons in. And holy cow biking with these gnats absolutely eating me is absolutely driving me insane. So if anyone knows any hacks to get rid of those little buggers hit me up. But solid day. Louise, our recent convert, made us some dinner and she had us swing through and grab it. She made spaghetti, teriyaki meatballs, broccoli cheese rice, and fried chicken. Quite the combo. But it was so fire. She won't share her recipes though, sorry mom! But then that evening we had game night with the ward which was popping. Played some uno attack which was a little bit of a throwback.
Wednesday
Such an exhausting day. Let's break it down. So we got some solid work done that morning, found a new guy named Jalen that we're gonna start teaching who's absolutely fire and only 20 so he just vibes with us. Then we did some service for Sis Lewis. Then we bounced out to Douglas for a District Council. Hour out, then hour back. Right after we drove the hour back, we packed up our bags and bounced out to Jacksonville. We got news that we were going to the temple this week, and they wanted us to drive down wednesday night. So we drove out to Jacksonville, ate dinner at this super sick seafood place in Jax Beach with Elder Callaway, Elder Marker, Will (the guy I baptized out in Gainesville), and us two. We were staying the night with Elder Callaway and Elder Marker in Jax Beach, and Will was in Jax Beach so we swung that. It was so sick to see him. So fire night.
Thursday
WHAT a spiritual POWERHOUSE day. We woke up, played some ball with the boys, went and took a quick snap of the beach, then met at the mission office. Then us and 40 other missionaries carpooled down to the Temple. It was so sick. Like literally all the missionaries I've gotten super tight with on the mission were there. So we drove down to Orlando, drove onto the temple grounds. And what a sacred place that is y'all. If you haven't been to the temple before, get yourself over there! Get a recommend and go inside if you can, and if you can't go sit on the grounds! I can promise you'll feel something special. So we went and did a session, and it's always such a revelatory experience. Nothing like literally being in the house and presence of our Father. So sick. Then we took pictures outside for a bit. We finished that up, then went and got Chipotle, drove back go Jacksonville, then immediately drove back to Tifton. Something like 13+ hours of driving in 2 days. But it was well worth it.
Friday
Not a whole ton to report on. We just did our dirtywork out here in Tifton. Got some solid lessons, found another guy named Trivianna to start teaching. Super humble guy who wants peace in his life and wants to improve his relationship with his family and girlfriend. Luckily that's exactly what the Gospel is designed to do. So he's a stud. Then this evening we traded off with the Albany Elders, I went out to Albany with Elders Edson and Porter.
Saturday
We just did our thang out in Albany. Elder Edson and Elder Porter were wanting to improve their street contacting game, so we just got out in the community and hauled around. We ended up finding 3 super solid people with some serious potential, handed out 7 copies of the Book of Mormon, and just had a good time. And honestly there isn't much of a secret to it. Literally the basic rules of missionary work are Love, Share, Invite. You see someone in the grocery store, on the street, at the pool, don't worry about wondering if they'll care about what you have to say. Just care for them enough to talk to them. Get to know them, build a relationship, then bring up the gospel in a normal and natural way! It's helping people to fill a hole they didn't know they had. Anyways that was a whole lot of the work this day. Elders Porter and Edson are awesome. Those guys are crackups. Such a good time. We traded back off, and Louise had made us dinner again. We're her grandsons, she absolutely adores us so she wants to cook for us. She made us some fried porkchops, barbeque ribs, collared greens, rice, a pineapple cake, banana pudding... she cheffed up. And probably one of the best dinners I've had. This southern cooking is dangerous.
Sunday
Another solid day! We literally had back-to-back lessons for the entire day, and not a single one fell through! So we got some good work done, had some super solid lessons with Jalen and Travianna. We had a super good dinner with the Brey's which had some absolutely fire food. Then we had some zoom meetings to be on for like 2 hours. It was a grind. But super solid day overall.
Monday
Not a whole lot going on today. We're constantly in a heated battle with some cockroaches in our house. No matter how much poison we put out, how much we deep clean this apartment, they always seem to come back. So we'll probably do a heavy-duty nukefest to try and get these suckers out of here. We went fishing this morning, caught a few bass but still looking for the big one. The 10+ pounder. We'll get her. But honestly not much more to report on here.
Things are going good. The missionaries are all doing good, the work is steadily picking up, I'm happy, healthy, enjoying the time out here. Honestly I say this a lot, but I really do mean it. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now. Missionary work is tough, it's exhausting, frustrating, a little repetitive at times, but it's also so exhilirating, fulfilling, spiritually-uplifting, and life-changing. I'm grateful for what the mission has done for me in helping me realize that the gospel really is what is "cool". It's so real, it's exactly what a darkening world needs. So I'm grateful that the Lord trusts me, and each of us with the calling to go out and share it! So open y'alls mouths this week, proclaim the good news, and help others feel the spirit that we get to enjoy! Have a good week, and remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!!

"Now, may I invite you to consider a few questions? Do you want to feel peace about concerns that presently plague you? Do you want to know Jesus Christ better? Do you want to learn how His divine power can heal your wounds and weaknesses? Do you want to experience the sweet, soothing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ working in your life?As you make your testimony your highest priority, watch for miracles to happen in your life."
