Tifton Transfer 16 Week 3

What has been going on y'all?? Been a week? It's been a week here too. An absolutely FIRE week. God was so good to us. Miracles, the grind, laughs, crys, the whole 9 yards. Y'all are hooked now, I can tell. So let's get to it!
So I'll give y'all a little insight into how I write these emails. First off I just write up the same cringey intro I've used for two years, say let's dive on in or some other phrase to get us into the details, I start a new paragraph, then I literally just sit here trying to figure out what went on this week. It was a literal blur. Some sister told me a saying that literally is so facts for the mission, something about how "the days are weeks and the weeks are days, the months are years and the years are months". Figure that one out eh. Took me a second but once I did I realized it really does apply. But anyways, enough of this ranting. Let's do a day-by-day this week. Change it up a little bit :).

Monday
Not a whole ton of stuff went on. Elder Branham's a legend at golf, me, not so much. We went and played 9 holes with a guy who's wife is a member but he's not. Richard. He's a legend. He got us the 9 holes for free, and our neighbor let us use his nice golf clubs, so I got to go swing around and look like a newborn giraffe and didn't need to pay money for it. Score. Then that evening we just grinded out some contacts because a few lessons fell through.
Tuesday
Crazy day. This was Zone Conference week so luckily we didn't need to haul around to the different DC's and got some solid work done in our area. A lesson with the Duggins, a recent convert family (they're legends), then a few lessons out in Sylvester. We had a lesson with Louise, our recent convert, and those lessons are probably the best part of my week. She's hilarious. Just your classic old, crazy black grandma. We had tradeoffs last week and I took Elder Taunima to go see her (he's tongan), and she went off once he was gone about he was probably mexican, how she loves mexicans because they make good food, and how they're all named pedro or paco. She's a riot. And absolutely KILLING it in the gospel. She has a notebook that she'll write her thoughts down on as she's studying it. She started like a month ago and she's almost filled it up. Legend. But the rest of the day was full of contacts, biking, then ward game night that night. Solid day.
Wednesday
SUCH a revelatory day. We drove to Waycross GA that morning, and had such a good Zone Conference. The conversation was mostly about finding, opening our mouths, then President Wood absolutely threw down on music, hanging out, and lock your heart problems. Luckily our zone's pretty solid on those things but it was hilarious 😂. He'd have us close our eyes, and then he'd play a song. Then we'd decide if it made us feel sacred, or happy. He was playing parts of songs like "September" by wind, earth and fire. Dangerous. But such a good zone conference. We also gave a training on working with members, which actually went super solid. We had put a magnet on the end of a fishing pole, then had the missionaries cast out and catch some paper fish which led our discussion. P Wood himself even helped out. I thought it was a little bit of a spaz, but afterwards President Wood came up and told us it was probably one of the best he's seen which was solid 😂. But overall such a sweet zone conference.
Thursday
Oh geez this is getting long. I'll keep it short. Solid day overall, just a whole lot of contacts. More of a finding and street contacting day, a little more of a grind. But cool miracles. Then in the evening, we had a zone call where we did a big zone call. Background, the Tifton zone's been struggling a little bit with discouragement, excitement for the work, and just success in general. There's a promise in Preach my Gospel that If a missionary will get on his knees every morning, and beg to be an instrument in the Lords hands, then excitement for the work will increase. So we did a group prayer, then invited them to do this as a companionship every morning, and promised miracles from it (to be continued...)
Friday
Same thing as Thursday. Took the bikes out a lot and just grinded out a lot of contacts. It's getting so hot out here ans the gnats are absolutely insane so pray for us :). Biking's such a vibe though, nothing like hauling around small-town Georgia. Everyone's super friendly so it's so easy to talk to people and testify about the gospel which is solid!
Saturday
Honestly like the exact same as Friday, more biking around out in Sylvester. Had another good lesson with Louise, had a super solid lesson with Tommy where we testified of the gospel of Jesus Christ getting us to the Temple, and invited him to pray about baptism. So keep him in y'alls prayers!
Sunday
Solid day overall. This day we worked a lot out of Tifton. A whole lot of less active work, a few angry people who didn't want to see the missionaries, but more than a few families who were so excited to see us! Solid day overall, we found like 3 new families that we're going to start working with that have a lot of potential!! Then that evening, we got to take a look at how the zone did overall with numbers for the week. And y'all, God worked a miracle. Not that numbers are what are important, but we literally more than doubled our usual for the people found, people in church, and people on bap date. Most all the companionships had seen some SOLID miracles in their areas, and the zone's just so hyped for the miracles we're seeing. AND the week is still young. Prayer works y'all!
Not much to report yet on today. I nuked my phone screen while biking so trying to figure out how to get it fixed so I stop getting glass splinters in my fingers while typing this up to y'all. You're welcome. Or not welcome because it's an essay this week. Mental note to self, no more day by days. But things are solid. This week was a little bit of a grind and frustrating at times, but God's been bashing in my head the need for gratitude, both through the good times and the bad. If we don't recognize the blessings we have now, why would God want to bless us with more??
So life's so good. Nothing like being on the Lord's errand. Time's running short so I just gotta absolutely keep giving it all. And seeing the amazing little tender mercies God keeps throwing our way. Also next week is gonna be so solid. We got news this week that next Thursday President Wood is taking Elder Branham and I, and a whole bunch of my buddies to the temple on Thursday. So I'm SO hyped about that. Life's just so good y'all. Keep killing it, and remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I (especially you elder barber 😘)!!

Spiritual Thought: Quote from Pres Monson
My brothers and sisters, to express gratitude is gracious and honorable, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live with gratitude ever in our hearts is to touch heaven.
