Bum badum bummm, bum badum bumm
Whaat is up y'all?? Guess who's back in black and ready to grind out this weekly snoresfest. I am. Hopefully y'all are too! Sit down, buckle up, keep your arms and feet inside the vehicle at all times, and let's ride.
The best place to start something is at the beginning right? So let's dive in at the beginning of the week. Not much to report for Monday evening, just the normal grind sesh. We made some visits, calls, all that fun stuff. Honestly don't remember what happened.
Tuesday we had Zone Conference out in Waycross. It was a two hour drive and we needed to be there at 8:30, so we got up early and journeyed over to receive some revelation and guidance from the big man and woman upstairs, President and Sister Wood. And BOY oh BOY did we receive some major revelaton. The AP's and the angelic Sister Wood focused a lot on street-contacting, opening one's mouths, being a bold missionary, and being spirit guided. All essential tools for a missionary to have in their spiritual toolbox. President Wood then came out and gave SUCH a BOMB discussion on the Fall of Adam, the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the Doctrine of Christ, and how it all works together. And honestly, my mind was a little blown during this discussion. On the simplicity of it all, but also the great manifestation of love that it all is, especially the Doctrine of Christ. Y'all, I am here to testify that when left to ourselves, it's hopeless. It's over. Game over. No use in trying. BUT. That's the exact reason why we need a Savior. He's not the backup plan, or the quick fix, or the flexseal tape that God just slapped over a messy situation to make it ok. He's THE plan. The whole entire purpose. We come down here to go through our crap, and learn how to utilize Him in our lives. We learn how to give up those things we really want, give up those things we really think we need, and trust Him. His power is not here to simply restore us, but to transform us. So utilize Him!
Anyways, too hard to explain my feelings on this over text. Or through words alone haha. God is just too good to us y'all! After all that stuff we gave a training to the zone using Jeopardy, (classic I know), talking about what a bold missionary looks like in action. We focused mostly on making the Book of Mormon the focus, opening our mouths, striving to have perfect love, and keeping baptism at the forefront of our minds and our friends minds. Overall it went really good, and the missionaries have done well at applying it. Good stuff.
So moral of the story, ZC was so hype. Got to see a whole ton of buddies who are in the Kingsland zone, received some mad revelation for our area, and some mad motivation to keep the grind going. So good stuff.
Honestly not a whole lot more stuff to report on. All our people are doing good, basically all in the same boat still. They just don't recognize the importance of continual progression in the gospel, of continual learning. They're good where they're at. So we move on, looking for others who are ready to Let God Prevail in their lives. Louise is still doing good, she's so ready for her baptism on the 19th. We also have a few part-member families who are in love with the gospel and want their kids to step onto the covenant path and so good things are happening there. Keep the Soto's, the Brown's, James, and Louise all in your prayers that they can keep avoiding the darts of the adversary!
We also played a new game this week at our youth sports night named Gaga ball, and yours truly is an absolute legend at it. Basically how yoh play is you have a circle of tables set up creating a circle wall. Someone throws a ball into the middle of the circle, and you try to smack the ball into other peoples legs, and avoid the ball hitting your own legs. Super fun. So check me out in a year or two playing professional Gaga ball.
That's about it, and I mean it this time haha. Things are going good, the work is trucking along, and I just blew my own mind this morning realizing that I literally have like 4 1/2 months left already. Transfer calls are coming up this Saturday, so look for that exciting news next week. No way I'm leaving though 🙏🙏. But keep up the good work, have a good week, and remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!

Scripture of the Week: Alma 7:11-13
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.13 Now the Spirit knoweth all things; nevertheless the Son of God suffereth according to the flesh that he might take upon him the sins of his people, that he might blot out their transgressions according to the power of his deliverance; and now behold, this is the testimony which is in me.

We tried going street contacting at a "Rhythms and Ribs" event going on in Tifton, unfortunately too much alcohol, weed and partying made it a place not too susceptible to the spirit 😂1. Sunset2.
