Gainesville Transfer 13 Week 3
What's going on y'all?? Happy New Year!! I actually don't have much time to write an email so we're going to make this one short and sweet. Sounds good? Good.
Well this week was a wild one. Honestly can't remember much of what went on. This was the last week that the YSA were going to be gone, so we just grinded out the family ward work for this last week. Visited a ton of members, found a few less actives that we can work with, and met some active members that we haven't really gotten to meet yet. So solid overall on the member side.
On the side of our friends, a little slow. Justin isn't meeting with us again, he's more in the members hands. The Ricks might have gotten covid so they didn't want us to come over so we didn't meet with them. Roger though is doing super solid. We've been trucking through the lessons with him, and we're slowly chipping away at the wall that he's build around joining a church, especially our church. But he's reading the Book of Mormon now, he agrees for the most part on what we've taught him in the lessons, and he also gave us some sweet free ties. So things are going strong there.
Not much else crazy happened this week. New Years was super anticlimactic, we just went home, went to bed, and went to sleep to the sound of fireworks haha. But I have done a lot of reflecting on the last year. 2021 will have been the only full year of my life, that I was able to be a set apart, single, proselyting missionary. A full year of striving to devote myself to Christ. Now there definitely were lows, and they were pretty low, but the highs were so much higher. And I was able to come to such a strong realization of how REAL this gospel really is. It's true. All of it. This is Christ's church. This church has His stamp of approval. This is His work, and I've had 365 days of proof. So I can't and won't deny it. What a special gift!
Anyways, good stuff this week. We went bowling for pday, and of course, I took the crown. Well almost. Elder Lawrence edged me out by like 2 points. But second place isn't bad. But that's about all I got. Happy New Years y'all, make sure to involve Christ in your goals. That's how it's designed to be. As you involve Him, it allows you to access His enabling power. And we can't do it on our own y'all! You guys are awesome, remember that Jesus loves you and so do I!!

Scripture of the Week: Ether 12:27
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

*Photos 3/5* We did a church swap this week, went to the Powerhouse Pentecostal Family Worship Center and it was awesome 😂 the pastor was a straight hypeman and gave a motivational speech and then we listened to a ton of christian pop music, such a legendary sunday haha.
