Gainesville Transfer 12 Week 4
What. Is. Up. Y'all. How's life treating you? This week was absolutely crazy. Full of miracles, Christmas spirit, and a whole bunch more that I totally forgot about. But how about I skip my normal intro and just dive right in? Awesome.
This was a pretty solid week this week. Not a ton of new stuff, but we did have some tradeoffs to cram in before Shepherding Reports were due. So we got both of the tradeoffs in this week. Good stuff happened. And with one of the elders, Elder Hansen, we had such a sweet tradeoff miracle. So quick backstory, we've been having a hard time finding people. We've been working our tails off, but for some reason things just haven't been working out. But we got a media referral, so Elder Hansen and I went to go visit with them. At first they were super apprehensive to us. They had heard about those "Mormons" and how we worship a dude named "Mormon" and the dad happened to be a member of a church that is typically very anti against our church. But we got in there to say a prayer with them, clarified our beliefs, and took the ole bear testimony of Christ route. The great thing about the South is that it doesn't matter who you're talking to, if you bring up Jesus, they immediately love you. So we read out of Revelations 7:13-19, testified about Christ, and like a lightswitch they completely changed. They love us now haha. They were showing us christian music videos that the family dances to in the morning, asking us to pray for their friends, and just were big fans of us. They wanted us to come back, and we'll be teaching the whole family, a family of 6. So we were pumped about that. Tradeoff miracles are real y'all.
The people we're teaching are doing good for the most part. Unfortunately though, Michelle dropped us. She said that she was going out of town until basically next semester, and next semester she'd be busy with other things so she doesn't have time to meet. No worries though, we were super bold about the Book of Mormon and how if she wanted to increase her faith in Christ, then she needed to read the Book of Mormon and Bible. There's no other way. Those books are our way to have a personal, one on one moment with the Savior. That's just how it works. So she promised she'd read while we were apart, and she still wants to come to some YSA activities. So hope is NOT lost. Keep her in your prayers!!
We also had MLC, where we finished planning the 2022 Mission Vision which I'm so pumped about to say the least. We have a goal to flood Florida with the Book of Mormon, so each companionship will be trying to hand out a Book of Mormon a day, using the members, facebook, whatever means we have to just hype up the Book of Mormom and utilize the most powerful tool we have as missionaries. But the vision will be really good. We've set some high goals for this next year, but the mission is pumped to work hard to achieve them.
We also got to do a Light the World booth. Elder Bloom and I designed a Light the World poster, and then us, the sisters, and some YSA members went out on campus for tabling, handing out free hot chocolate and promoting Light the World. It was a blast.
Overall, good week. Lots of work, lots of little tender mercies that God just keeps throwing our way. This week we're getting transfer calls so I'll have an update next week on whether I stay or go. Hopefully stay, but whatever the Lord wants to happen. That's about it, so just remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!!

Scripture of the Week: D&C 123:17
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.
