Gainesville Transfer 12 Week 3

Howdy howdy y'all! How has everything been? Hopefully just fantastic. Things have been good for us. Not too much to report on this week, kind of because I don't even really remember. But I'm sure it was just your typical missionary grind. But it was a good one. So shall we dive in and see what we can pull out of this forgetful brain of mine?? We shall.
First off, Happy Thanksgiving!! I'm so grateful for just the abundance of blessings that I have in my life. If the mission has done anything for me, it's shown me just the grand blessings I have in my life. Family, friends, running water, food, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Steak n shake, minivans, spanish music, and so much more. And so seeing that God has blessed me with so much, "Where much is given, much is required". I've been blessed with so much, so who am I to not turn around and bless others in the same way?? Food for thought.
But anyways, this week was a good one. Basically everyone was out of town for thanksgiving break. Our family ward basically is completely consisted of families from Utah so they all went home, and then all the YSA went back to their families as well. So a lot of visiting less actives and grey dots this week. Fun stuff though. We've also started something new that we like to call Spirit Finding, where basically an hour out of our day we set apart to just say a mighty prayer before we leave the apartment, hop on the bikes, and just go wherever the Lord guides us. We have had some good conversations so far and the miracles are coming soon from that so stay tuned!
Then for Thanksgiving, we went over to one of the Branch Counselor's in the YSA's house to eat with them. They had invited a ton of people, a nonmember friend, some of the YSA who were still at home, and then 6 missionaries so it was a party. Lots of good food, good conversation, good stuff going down on Thanksgiving. Then after that, I had the opportunity to talk to family which was really good. Family is just the best. Then after that, the senior couple, the Fluckigers, invited us over to eat pie and play card games with them at night. They also invited some of the other missionaries who are in wards with us and the fluckigers so that was fun.
All in all, good things are happening. We're seeing lots of miracles and having a grand old time here in Gainesville. The weather is cooling down, the christmas vibes are coming out, our minivan is decked out, and I'm just so pumped to continue to Light the World with Love. But other than that, that's about it. Happy holidays y'all, go check out the Light the World initiative, and get to blessing some of God's children! But remember that Jesus loves y'all so much, and so do I!!

Scriptures: Matthew 15:36-37
36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.
Gratitude is powerful! It was only after Jesus gave thanks for what He already had, that He was able to work the miracle of feeding the 5,000. As we show God gratitude, and show Him that we truly are satisfied with what He has given us, then the windows of heaven are opem for God to bless us with even more. If you're happy, sad, tired, stressed, anxious, depressed, and anything in between, just give thanks. Life is better that way.
