Gainesville Transfer 12 Week 1
WHAT is UP y'all?? How has everything been going this last week? These weeks keep flying by, it feels like just yesterday that I was sitting here, starting out my weekly's in the exact same way that I always do. Wild. Just wild. Well, enough rambling, let's get to business.
So this week was good ole transfer week. So the beginning of this week was saying some goodbyes for Elder Callaway, more finding, then picking up my new comp and getting a new transfer started for this zone. All good stuff. My new companion is Elder Bloom, and he's just an absolute beast. We did a zone call so we could get to know all the new missionaries that were coming in, and a get to know you question we did was "what disney character would your companion be?" And I just had to go with Hawkeye. I know he's not an OG disney, but roll with it y'all. Elder Bloom is just a silent assassin. Real quiet dude, then he'll come out with the most profound statement while we're teaching or talking to someone. So he's awesome. It's definitely been a big change though. A lot more responsibility of leading out on my shoulders, but it's been a good change so far.
This week has been good though. Not sure what the YSA is thinking right now, but they must be in marriage mode or something. We showed up to the FHE activity on monday, and were told we were playing spin-the-bottle. Great. Just great. Turns out it was just a get to know you (not that kind of get to know you) where if the bottle stopped on you, all you had to do is answer some random questions. So we kept mission rules. Then for Institute on Thursday, the entire lesson was about what you want in your future spouse, and how you should start dating seriously and look for certain characteristics. So not sure what message is being sent here but I'll just keep chugging along doing the Lords work.
On other notes, teaching has been good. Still struggling to find some new people to teach but that just comes with the job. So good things are gonna start happening, just a matter of time. Will is still doing good, this week after basketball he wanted to show one of his friends the baptismal font which was sweet. So he's just a full fledged missionary already. But good things are happening.
Anyways, love y'all so very much. Keep chugging along, stay safe, remember who you are, and remember that Jesus loves you and so do I!!
