Gainesville Transfer 11 Week 5

What is up all of my beautiful people?? How are y'all this fine day?? First off I have some exciting news. Today. Is. Cold. Finally. Elder Callaway and I were talking about it, today is probably the first time in a good 9-10 months that I've worn a sweatshirt or turned on the heat in the car. Wild. Took Florida long enough, now the weather is just absolutely beautiful. Anyways, I know y'all didn't come for a weather update. You came for the pictures, so allow me to add in a quick update, then we'll get y'all to the pics.
By way of teaching this week, honestly it's been a little slow. We've been grinding out the finding so there was a lot of that this week. Flyer bombing campus, street contacting on campus, the chalkboard activity, lots of fun stuff. So hopefully we'll be seeing the fruits of our labor soon. But that's been a blast. We've been exploring campus more as we've been going around talking to people, and found some cool parts of campus. One of the coolest parts of campus is the UF Stadium and so we've spent some time there talking to people, doing weekly planning there, all that fun jazz. So that's been fun.
Also, we had zone conference this week which was pretty hype. It's just always such a revelatory experience and gets you hyped for the work so that was fun. We had to give a training that was a little last minute, on everybodies favorite subject, weekly planning. But God blessed us with some major revelation the day before zone conference, so we were able to make an entertaining training that hopefully helped all the little trainees in our zone. Zone conference was fun, got to see some fun missionaries from the Lake City zone, and just had a grand old time.
Also, we had Presidents Interviews, and this time they were in person. Definitely the highlight of the transfer. President is just such a powerful, spiritual man who carries such a spirit and presence with him, and it's always so good to talk with him. We had a really good conversation, and then in this interview I finally got the news that I had been anticipating yet dreading a little bit. There had been rumors about Peru opening up and working on Visas, but it is supposedly a 4 month long process, plus 3 weeks for travel time. So Salt Lake sent President Wood a list of missionaries who would have enough time left after the 4 months and 3 weeks to make it to Peru. And unfortunately, my name wasn't on that list. So President told me to take it as an unofficial permanent reassignment to Florida. Definitely bittersweet, but I'm not too upset about it. Definitely had some hopes and dreams of running around in Peru speaking spanish and having the time of my life, but now I have closure and can run around in Florida speaking english and having the time of my life. So all is well.
Other than that that's about it. We got permission to do a Zone P-day today, because we were trying to develop zone unity and motivation in our zone so we set a goal of 500 invitations extended between all the companionships, and the zone ended up hitting that goal. So that was fun. We just hung out at the institute, played games, played some foosball, pingpong, all that fun stuff.
Other than that that's about it. I'm doing well, having fun, and just enjoying the mish. Next week I'll have transfer news so that'll be exciting. No predictions from me, I have no idea what's gonna happen. But just remember that Jesus loves y'all, and so do I!!

Scripture of the Week: D&C 4
Just go read it. All of it. It's phenominal. And only 7 verses so won't take that long. Let me know how it goes.
