Gainesville Transfer 11 Week 3
What is up y'all?? How has it been? How are each and every one of y'all doing? This last week was wild. It was busy. It was a pretty successful, pretty good week. Miracles were wrought, and good times were had. So lets get to it.
Now the biggest news of the week was Will's baptism. It happened y'all! It cut it close a few times there this week, Will took a nap and overslept, and almost missed our last lesson before the baptism haha. We were calling and texting him trying to get a response, with no avail. And not gonna lie, I immediately assumed the worst, that we had just lost our boy. But sure enough, he was sleeping so we were chilling. He showed up to the lesson an hour late, we got all prepared for the baptism the next day, and all was well. We then had the baptism the next day, had everything set up, everyone all ready, and no Will. Then 10 minutes in, Will comes rolling in. Typical 19 year old guy haha. But it was such a sweet baptism, the spirit was super strong. We also hyped up this baptism and made it a challenge for every companionship in our zone to have a nonmember there, and invited the whole YSA branch, and Will invited a bunch of his nonmember friends. We had a really good turn out, probably about 50 people showed up and about half were nonmembers. So good stuff. Such a good experience, definitely something I'm going to remember.
We also had made it a focus to find this week. We've been struggling a little bit to find, and hadn't gotten some solid new people in quite some time. So at the beginning of this week, Elder Callaway and I just said a mighty prayer, set a goal of 3 people, and got to work. And sure enough, God worked some miracles. We found some pretty solid people this week in Edward and his wife, and then a guy named Justin. Both super faith-filled, humble, super nice people and so we're pretty excited about them.
We also have been doing some finding on campus. Not a lot of stuff has been happening in finding, so we decided to just grind out the finding. We did our chalkboard activity, we went and chalked campus and wrote free bible studies all over, then made a ton of flyers promoting free bible studies. But all we really got was a bunch of drunk college students prank calling us haha. But the grind continues. So if y'all have any genius finding activities, shoot me an email haha.
But good things are happening. The work is good, the YSA is such a fun area, sometimes doesn't feel like missionary work because we're just going to a bunch of normal and natural activities to find people, like volleyball night, pickleball night, spikeball, stuff like that. But it's fun. And effective. So fun stuff. God is good, and remember that Jesus loves y'all and so do I!

Scripture of the Week: Ether 12:6
6 And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.
