Gainesville Transfer 10 Week 5
Whaaat is up wiith each and every one of you beautiful people?? How has your week been, how's life treating you, how's the fam, the whole shabang. Oh me? We're doing absolutely amazing. Thanks for asking. Let's dive in and talk about this shall we?
Now to be honest, not entirely sure what happened this week. It was an absolute blur and as I look back, not entirely sure what happened, but honestly that's just been the last 5 weeks. Crazy that this transfer is about over. But first off with teaching, things have been pretty good. A few of our friends, namely Yeison and Chandra are having a harder time progressing, so we've kind of thrown them back into the crock-pot to tender up a little bit. But Will on the other hand is doing amazing. This last week we were pretty bold with where we want to see him going, and set him on bap date for October 16th. So that's exciting. He's honestly just a stud. But the rest of this week was full of yellow dot finding, the chalkboard activity, and a few duties needing to be done in Gainesville.
Also some fun stuff happened in Gainesville this week. Alabama came to town to play UF in football and boy oh boy was it wild. Basically the whole town shut down, and traffic was insane. We didn't see an open spot of road or grass anywhere, people were literally just parked on the road or halfway up a median, it was insane. So that was fun.
We also had a big meeting again back in Jacksonville. Everyone showed up, I got to see good ole Elder Copley again and a few other sweet missionaries. But the meeting was good, just counciling and whatnot. Good stuff. Also got to talk to president both in interviews this week and at the meeting, which as always is an absolute dream. He's such an amazing, revelatory man.
Honestly though that's about it. Things are going real good. This saturday we have transfer calls so we'll see what happens but don't expect me to go anywhere haha. I also don't want to go anywhere so there you go. But things are good, the mission is good, my comp is good, the work is good, and all is well in Zion. Love each and every one of y'all so much, and Jesus loves you too. Have a great week!!

Scripture of the Week:
Mosiah 2:17
17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.
I've been thinking a lot about this lately. I think the world talks so much about "self love", "self care", "self esteem", and all that fancy jazz. And I think it's great. I think we do need to love ourselves. It's vital. BUT. I do think that HOW we go about improving our self care or self love is different than how the world puts forward how to do this. I wholeheartedly believe that if we want to feel love for ourself, or if we just want to feel happy, it does not come from helping ourself. It doesn't come from focusing on ourself at all. It comes from turning outwards. From loving and serving others, and putting their needs ahead of yours. That's where true joy is found.
