Ho
www are each and every one of y'all doing?? Hopefully better than the fishing trip that Elder Callaway and I just returned from. Caught a whole 0 fish, 1 turtle, and got chased off by James the Alligator. So pretty great start to a p-day if I don't say so myself!! Just kidding haha it was great, just like this last week. Let's cast it out and see what good news we can hook...
So by way of teaching, this week was a little bit slower. We didn't get in with a few of our people, but that's ok. It allowed us to focus a little bit on areas that we just hadn't had time for, like visiting media referrals. So that's all fine and dandy. Nothing too interesting from that either haha. Just driving around beautiful Gainesville, visiting people who are ready and willing to let God prevail in their lives. So all is well.
For our friends, all of them are doing pretty well. Will is great, he's just chugging along. He really loves lessons and church, but we're really working on getting him converted to the Book of Mormon. I feel for him, he's super busy with school and stuff and we're basically throwing extra homework on him, but it's life-changing, soul-saving, joy-bringing homework. So hopefully he'll take that next step this week. But he's so solid, hopefully we'll get some dates set with him soon. Then with Yeison, things are going pretty well there as well. We taught him the Plan of Salvation this week which he analyzed and broke down, and I think he really enjoyed it which is cool. Still a struggle trying to get him go grasp and turn to the spiritual side of things, but I've definitely received some revelation for him. So all is well there. Then for Chandra, same old same old. He's just super busy and honestly is more interested in the social aspect, but the Lord works in mysterious ways to bring about the salvation of His children, so if it works it works. Just get some good chapter 14 action going on and boom, baptized. So all is well there.
We also had Zone Conference this week which was so revelatory. I say this in like every email, but President Wood is called of God. I know it. I feel it every time I talk to him. And so Zone Conferences are just the best. We focused a lot on being a bold missionary, opening our mouth, and using the Love, Share, Invite process and principles in our missionary work. For all those member missionaries out there, go give the Love, Share, Invite devotional a watch. And then whatever the spirit tells you, go and do! God will thank you, the missionaries in your area will thank you, and I'll thank you. Y'all are the key to successful missionary work. About a week or two ago, we had a meeting with President and we were just discussing problems in the mission, and our mission president made the remark/prophesy, "When Members understand, learn how to, and dive into ministering, that's when missionary work will take off". It's up to y'all!! So give that devotional a watch, and then get back to me on what you want to do to be a beast missionary. If you want me to get you a tag, I gotchu. Just whatever it takes to have y'all keep being amazing missionaries and examples.
So anyways, Zone Conference was so fun. It was a combined zone conference, so we had missionaries from Gainesville and Lake City all there, and I got to see a bunch of buddies from Lake City that I haven't seen since like the beginning of my mission. So that was fun. We also got to give a training that was pretty fun. We started out with this activity where we had like 15 cups full of water, and had everyone stand up. We'd read different descriptions off, like "blonde hair", then everyone with blonde hair had to sit down. And then "glasses", then everyone with glasses had to sit down. So on and so forth. So fast forward to the end, we had read off all the descriptions, and there was only one person standing, good old Elder Kemp. At the beginning we told people that however many people were standing up at the end of us reading the descriptions, had to drink the water. He ended up being the only person. So he went to work, ended up getting through an impressive 10 cups, but then had to go to the bathroom because he wasn't feeling good and ended up just putting all the water he drank right back into the toilet. Great start haha. I felt so bad for him, but luckily he thought it was hilarious. And so did I a little bit haha. But the rest went good, we just talked about being a bold missionary and the 3 pillars of how to become one. So it was fun.
The rest of the week was pretty normal. Just good old work, lots of YSA events and finding. We did the chalkboard activity again which was fun, found some people that way. Being on campus is so weird, makes me feel like I'm a college student but then I realize that I'm actually still a missionary. So it's fun haha. Definitely really weird but I'm really enjoying the work here.
But honestly that's about it. We're going to go play some pickleball for p-day, gotta go show the district what's up. So I hope each and every one of y'all have an absolutely amazing week, and remember that Jesus loves you so very much, and so do I!!

Scripture of the Week: D&C 123:17
17 Therefore, dearly beloved brethren, let us cheerfully do all things that lie in our power; and then may we stand still, with the utmost assurance, to see the salvation of God, and for his arm to be revealed.

1-2. A member named Abuela takes the missionaries out to eat sometimes. After she takes them out to eat she always takes them to see her friend, Tony. We follow her in her car, expecting to meet some guy, then she pulls up to Bass Pro, walks in, and introduces us to her friend Tony, a stuffed Bear. It was so precious. And a little depressing because she's a little lonely. But she's awesome haha. 3. Chalkboard Experiment4. Text we got from some guy5. Pond outside our apartments feat. James
