Gainesville Transfer 10 Week 1

Whaatss up everyone? How are each and every one of y'all doing? This has been a fine past few days, lots of exciting things happening and I can't wait to tell you all about it. So sit down, buckle up, please keep your arms, legs, hands, feet, and head inside of this wild ride at all times, and lets get to it.
So to start off, for those who read my email last week, I got news that I'd be transferred to Gainesville. So the last few days in Quincy was grinding to try to get last lessons in with all of our investigators, and saying bye to people. I just had to get a picture and say bye to our ladies Andria and Shirley, so that was real sad. We also had one final dinner with Bro Clayton and Janet, and Janet made some of her famous chicken and dumplings, and then some banana pudding for dessert. Definitely addicted to banana pudding. It was hard saying bye to all these people, and I definitely will miss Tallahassee. It's definitelt a special place. But God's also been straight blessing us out here in Gainesville and I'm excited to see what it brings. This thursday was transfer day, so I wrapped up packing my stuff and saying bye to people, then headed out to Gainesville. I got picked up by my new comp, Elder Callaway, and he is a straight beast of a missionary. Super cool dude and also knows his purpose as a missionary so it's been fun. We also get to drive a minivan, one of two companionships in the mish who have one and honestly I might just become a soccer mom so I can drive one of these things around at home. Minivans are definitely underrated. So that's cool.
So anyways, we got all our stuff and got settled, and headed over to our new apartment. We're both whitewashing so it was a new apartment for the both of us. Turns out we went from the nicest apartment in this zone to the least nice apartment. But hey it has AC and working ceilings so no complaints here. Plus we have a pond right outside our door so catch us fishing for men and fishing for bass. But we got all settled, and we've just been getting into the swing of things. Neither of us know anyone here so lots of member visits trying to get to know the leadership in the wards and getting to know the investigators that were being taught. Luckily, the missionaries we replaced were stellar missionaries so they left us pretty well off. We have some good people who want to let god prevail, and we also have such missionary-minded wards that we're over. The Gainesville 3rd ward is super cool and loves missionary work and they're gonna keep us busy. Then the YSA is also crazy missionary-minded, and it's just a whole bunch of RM's that want to help us out with everything. So we are set.
So that's basically it. We have a whole bunch of cool missionaries in our zone so I'm super excited for this area and everything it's bringing. Gainesville is a super cool area, I'm not a huge fan of the big city, definitely love the country but this city is pretty nice so no complaints. One weird thing about gainesville is that literally nowhere here actually gives out plastic straws. We've been looking and we've only found one gas station in all of gainesville that actually has plastic straws. Bunch of tree huggers. Just kidding I respect it, gotta save the turtles. We've been crazy busy being over two super busy areas but that's how I like it so all is well in Zion. The YSA basically has an activity every night which we're supposed to go to, and then the 3rd ward is setting up a ton of fiesta's and talent shows and a whole lot of fun stuff to let their lights and examples shine to those friends who aren't members. So good things are happening. All is going well here, love and miss y'all but just remember that Jesus loves you and so do I. Have a blessed week!!
