Tallahassee Transfer 8 Week 3
Buenas diasss a todos!! How are y'all? I hope y'all have been enjoying yourself and the start of Summer, we started summer probably abouy a month ago and it just keeps getting hotter and hotter. It's great. I love it. But enough about the weather, let's talk about this week.
Honestly not a lot went on this week by way of teaching. For some weird reason, probably about 95% of the lessons that we would set up fell through, so we didn't get to do a lot with most all of our people. Of course we still visited Andria a lot, but she is still in the same place, still struggling with her different demons so keep praying for her, she really needs it! On other better news though, our lady Janet decided this week that she wanted to get baptized! She's living down in Panama City right now and the sisters are doing all the teaching, but she's basically already hitched to her boyfriend Brother Clayton who lives in our ward. And so she decided that she wants to get baptized, and she wants to get baptized out here in Quincy. She's absolutely amazing, and has found such a light and desire to learn all she can about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She even called herself, "A dehydrated mormon, just add water". How elect can ya get?? So we're super excited for her, she just has gotten a different light and happiness about her ever since she found the gospel. And it's really been a testament to me of the power and truthfulness of this Gospel that I get to preach about! Janet had experienced a really hard trial in her life, and that's when she found the missionaries. And through learning these truths, she's just been transformed through the peace, grace, and power that's found in Jesus Christ and the message that us missionaries share. So if you have experienced a hard trial, or know someone who has, use the missionaries! Or be a missionary! Share the light that's found in these truths, in the Book of Mormon, in Jesus Christ. What's the worst that could happen?
So anyways, that's about it for teaching. Everything else has been really good, honestly not much else went on this week. Just lots of trying to find people, keeping ourselves busy, normal missionary stuff. We went to Waukulla Springs for p-day today and that was pretty cool. Waukulla is like this river that goes through wild florida so you see a bunch of things in their natural habitat, gators, manatees, birds, turtles, florida hicks... the while shabang. So that was really fun. But that'a about it.
Well like I said, that's all folks. Keep having amazing weeks, and when the week isn't so amazing, just remember that Jesus loves you, and so do I. Love y'all!

Spiritual Thought: Alma 26:27
27 Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
There seems to be these waves that I go through on the mission, where we're working really hard and not seeing much success, or working really hard and seeing a lot of success. And I've noticed that this "success", (aka baptisms, being busy, high KI's) isn't exactly determined on how hard we work. But I have noticed that the amount that I can feel the spirit, how happy I am, how confident and dedicated I am to this message, is determined on how hard I work and how obedient I'm being. So it's a cool little thing to realize that sometimes life isn't going to be all grand and golden. We're going to experience hard times. But as we do all we can do, keep ourselves close to God, then everything will be alright. And every now and then, God will come and bless us, give us a little bit of success, little tender mercies. All we have to do is look for that, and have faith that they'll come.
