Transfer 7 Week 6
How are y'all?? I hope you had the most fantastic week this last week, we absolutely did. Lot's of good work, good miracles, and big news. So let's get to it.
So by way of teaching this week, we were able to get a good amount of work done. All our people are doing really good. Andria is still her amazing self, still struggling but still in love with the gospel. We went over there this Sunday, and she made us some liver and rice, neck bone and greens, and some cornbread (probably the first real Southern food I've had on my mission haha). But she's doing great. We also were able to put two of our people on soft bap date this week which was exciting. First was Shirley, a lady we've been doing bible studies with. We taught her the restoration last Bible study, so this time we went over it again to see what she liked and what she didn't understand. She wanted to go over the Great Apostasy again, so we did, and after we finished talking about how this is Jesus Christs church restored to the earth, Elder Jackson felt super prompted to ask her to be baptized. Well I didn't really get that prompting, so when he started asking her I was a little shook. But she was super happy we asked and said she knew that's what God wanted for her. She then came to church on sunday, and decided she wanted to pay tithing, and we haven't even mentioned tithing to her yet! So she's awesome, and making some major steps to come closer to Christ. Our last girl is Janet. We had mentioned baptism a little bit to her in our first lesson with her, and she came back telling us that she knows that baptism is what God wants. So that was really cool to hear. Unfortunately her and her boyfriend, our boy Brother Clayton, aren't thinking of getting married anytime soon. And she lives out in Panama City so we'll get to bless those missionaries out there with an awesome referral.
This Friday, we also had the opportunity to help out with a pre-groundbreaking activity for the Tallahassee Temple. It's being built right next to the church building that we go to, so we got to go and help people sign in and then hand out some sticker dots for a few hours. It was fun though, lots of people getting excited for the temple to be built. The groundbreaking is going to be the beginning of June, so that's exciting.
Other than that, all I have left to talk about is transfer news. So I've been in this area for about 4 and a half months now, coming up on a long time. The whole week I was completely convinced that I was going to leave. So I was preparing myself, and then we got transfer calls saturday night. Turns out I'll be staying here for another transfer, and Elder Jackson is getting booted. I'm staying as District Leader, and training a new missionary. Papa Richardson coming at you next week. So I'm pretty excited about that, it'll be a fun transfer.
That's about it though, good week this week. Everything's going great, and I'm excited to be training a new missionary. Love y'all so much have a great week!!

Spiritual Thought:
1 Nephi 7:12-- Yea, and how is it that ye have forgotten that the Lord is able to do all things according to his will, for the children of men, if it so be that they exercise faith in him? Wherefore, let us be faithful to him.
Faith is something that I've been a little obsessed with for the past little while. It blows my mind just the power that's accessible through faith. We all have different challenges, and different limits that we place on ourselves. But if we simply acknowledge that with God there are no limits, and strive to keep Him with us, then there really isn't anything we can't do. And I've seen that in my life. And I can testify that God really can, and will, and does do everything for us, as long as we let Him.
