Tallahassee Transfer 6 Week 2
Hola a todos ustedes! How are y'all? How has your week been? Have you felt the love of Christ in your life this week?? Good, me too. This week was an awesome week, lots of exciting things to talk about. Action, romance, comedy, suspense, it had everything. So without further ado...
By way of teaching this week was absolutely amazing. For some reason God's just tossing down blessuns for us out here in Quincy and we are just going crazy with finding new people. There's been at least 5 or 6 new people found in the last week, which is pretty unheard of in this area. God's working some major miracles in that department. And we also had a ton of opportunities to meet with our friend Andrea. It's crazy, every time I leave a lesson where we've taught her, I always think, "man that was the best lesson of my mission, I'm not going to have a better one." And then we meet with her again. And then that lesson is even more amazing than the last one. She's just so prepared, and loving this gospel so bad right now. Probably the most pure moment of my life was when we gave her a Book of Mormon with big print, and a Book of Mormon picture book. She was in high heaven with those things! She couldn't stop crying, praising God, reading those things, it really made me feel all warm inside. And made me realize just how often and how much we take the Book of Mormon for granted. It's literally the word of God, a book that literally changes lives, and a lot of times it just sits on our shelves collecting dust. Or we read it every now and then, but we don't put the effort out to learn from it. This lady had missed the scriptures so much, that she couldn't contain herself when she finally got them back. She could feel those feelings again. She could get her life back on the right track. She could find Christ in its pages. So I made a vow with Elder Jackson, to never take the Boom of Mormon for granted again. And I want y'all to join in with us. It's too powerful, too amazing of a book to simply just read it. We need to dive into it and love it as much as Andrea loves it! So there's my ted talk.
One more quick miracle about Andrea and then we'll move on. So do y'all remember how I told you that she loved the Book of Mormon? Hopefully you do, it was 6 sentences ago. But anyways we usually call her every night to see how her day was and see how her studying has been. Earlier that day we had given her the Book of Mormon, and felt super prompted to read a verse with her in Alma 36:32, where a man named Alma was going through a hard timez then after finding Jesus he "received strength to his limbs". After reading that with her, we felt super prompted to tell her that if she would read the Book of Mormon, she would experience the same thing, the same strength returning to her limbs. She was absolutely tickled to hear that. I was pretty nervous though, that's a pretty big promise to make to someone. It's not every day that people just get healed. But that night when we called her, she had a pretty special experience to tell us. She told us that as she was reading the Book of Mormon, her arm moved. Twice. And she was able to feel things happening in her leg. And for some background information, this arm hadn't moved in a few months because of a stroke she went through. It was so far gone that they were thinking of amputating it. And her leg hadn't moved in a long while too and is slowly getting back to health. So her arm shouldn't have moved, and her leg shouldn't have felt anything. But through the power and promises of God and His Book of Mormon, they did!! This book literally works miracles y'all. Don't take it for granted!
Other than that this week was just a lot of finding people, contacting people, different stuff like that. I did get the first dose of the covid vaccine on Tuesday and it went really good, I felt completely fine. Halfway there to becoming a superhero. But other than that things have been pretty normal. Elder Jackson's a beast, Quincy and Tallahassee are little pieces of heaven on earth, and God is soo good. Jesus loves all of us, and I love y'all. Have a great week!!

Spiritual Thought: Alma 36:18-20
18 Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.19 And now, behold, when I thought this, I could remember my pains no more; yea, I was harrowed up by the memory of my sins no more.20 And oh, what joy, and what marvelous light I did behold; yea, my soul was filled with joy as exceeding as was my pain!
This is such an amazing story to me of deliverance. I think se all go through moments where life is just beating us into the ground. But who is the great deliverer? Who will help us find more joy than we even know exists? None other than Jesus Christ. And what do we need to do? Simply call out to him, reach out to receive His grace and love in our life. Its as simple as that.
