Tallahassee Transfer 6 Week 1
Holaa a todos!! How are y'all?? Hopefully it's been just an absolutely fantastic, spirit-filled, action-packed week for all y'all. It definitely has been like that for us. Things are doing great down here in good ole Florida, this was probably one of the more solid weeks of my mission! So without further a do...
Teaching this week went absolutely amazing. Not going to lie, it has been a little slow with our investigators for the past couple weeks, but God has really been guiding us and blessing our efforts and this last week or two we've been seeing blessuns on blessuns. We went out this week with a determination to testify more powerfully, and try to open the door for God to mix up some of His famous miracles out here in Florida. So we focused on testifying to every person we talked to, and oh boy did we see some miracles be wrought in this land!! First off God blessed us with some major promptings to visit people at certain times and say certain things to them, (which is always the best feeling), and next thing you know our people are excited to learn from us and wanting to set up lessons. They're recognizing the spirit and wanting to take those steps! We also found some new people who are loving the Book of Mormon and the spirit and peace found within its pages. So good things are happening!!
Our biggest miracle this week though was with our lady Andrea. So we went over on Wednesday, Elder Colton's last full day in the area, and we really felt prompted to ask her to be baptized during the lesson. So we went in with that expectation, and boy oh boy did we have a spiritual powerhouse lesson. Basically to make a long story short, we felt completely guided in what God wanted us to say to her. We taught her and the spirit testified of truth, and we put her on baptismal date for May 8th. At first she was a little hesitant because she told us that she had been baptized before. But the spirit told us to testify about how this is Christ's restored church to her. So we did, and after we did she just broke down and started crying. She went on and on about how much she loves Jesus and wants to get close to Him. She told us how she hasn't ever known how to keep Jesus in her heart, until she felt something in her heart when we were testifying that we were part of Jesus's restored church. She then told us, "I've been looking for Jesus throughout my life. Lots of people have asked me to be baptized into their church. But nobody has ever asked me to join the Church of God. I know that y'all represent the church of God." She felt the spirit prick her heart, and she recognized the truth that the spirit was testifying to her. So she accepted the date y'all!! She's just so in tune with the spirit, we're so proud of her and excited for where the Lord is going to take her. Did y'all know that God is really this good?? It blows my mind every time when something like this happens. God really knows and loves His children!
Other than that this week has been pretty normal. Nothing better than strolling around good ole quincy doing the Lord's work. We did have transfers this week so Elder Colton took off, and I stayed here and got Elder Jackson. He's an absolute beast, we flew into the mission together and became pretty good friends then, so it'll be cool to be his companion. But thats about all I got for this week.God really is good. He's so good, that He didn't want to leave us in darkness, and He doesn't want to leave us alone. So just like with Moses, with Isaac, with David, God took the unimpressive, a 14 year old boy from New York, by the name of Joseph Smith, and worked an impressive work. Through Joseph Smith, God restored the Gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth. I know that this happened. There is no doubt in my mind. And I know this because I've prayed about it. I've asked this question to the only unbiased, completely honest, completely perfect source of information, who is God. And God has told me, through the feelings in my heart that this is God's church on the earth. That Joseph Smith was a prophet. And that we don't walk in darkness anymore. So if you feel like you are walking in darkness, I invite you to do the same thing! Get on your knees, and simply ask. And if you ask in faith, nothing wavering, you will receive an answer. God really is that good to us.
Have a good week! Y'all are awesome, love y'all!!

Spiritual Thought-- James 1:5-6
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
If any of us lack any bit of wisdom, if we ever want to know anything, all we have to do is ask God. God is so kind, so loving, that if we just ask in faith, truly wanting an answer, and are honest about our intentions in looking for an answer, that God will never withhold it from us. It may take asking a few times. It may take showing our faith throughout a storm in our life. But God will answer us!!
