Tallahassee Transfer 5 Week 5
Hola a todos!! How are y'all? Hope y'all had possibly the best Easter of your life and were able to reflect on why this season is so special for all of us. I definitely did a lot of that the past couple days. And then top this holiday off with an opportunity to hear revelation straight from God, this week was simply just the best.
As far as teaching, things are slowly picking up in this area. It's been dead for such a long time but God's just been throwing in some tender mercies in for us to keep us working hard. This week we had an awesome miracle with our friend Andrea. A few weeks ago we had built a ramp for her so she could get out of her house with her wheelchair, which she was grateful for. As we were finishing up we were talking to her and out of nowhere we felt prompted to give her a priesthood blessing. We did, it was a crazy powerful experience, and she's recovering well now from the stroke that she experienced. We stopped by the other day too to talk to her, and felt really prompted to share a certain section of the Bible with her, Revelations 7:9-17, and she absolutely loved it. She said it was exactly what she needed to hear, and she knew that what we have and what we share is special. She now wants to follow Christ and she kept telling us how she knows how we have "the way". So that was a really special miracle. God is just so good y'all!! Other than that we've just been meeting with our people and a good amount are progressing so good things are happening. Often God makes you wait, work hard, and have faith, but without fail, if you do those 3 simple things, then God WILL work miracles. I've seen it time after time on my mission.
General Conference was also this Saturday and Sunday, and my oh my was it amazing!! Before each session, I tried to make a list of questions that I had that I needed answered. And without fail, every single one of those questions were specifically answered by those inspired men. For conference we tried watching it with a couple of our investigators or inactive members, but unfortunately they all fell through so we watched it at the Quincy building instead. And we had quite the setup haha. Confer3nce is definitely different on the mish, the spirit just spoke differently and stronger to me this last conference than it ever had before. It makes for such a special experience and I know y'all can have that same experience. Go watch conference. Go show the faith. Go turn to God, and He will speak peace to your soul, answer your questions, and give you SPECIFIC direction in your life.
We also got to go do some service this week for noneother than Marvin Goldstein. Marvin Goldstein basically is just a super famous musician for those of you who don't know who he is haha. He lives in our ward so he had us come move some stuff around for him. We moved around some heavy bookcases, and then he took us downstairs to his mega nice grand piano and gave us a personal concert. It was so cool, he has some talent when tickling the ivory.
Finally this week we had our transfer calls. We got them early Sunday morning, and this time it was THE president wood who called us to give us our assignments. Sadly, elder Colton and I will be broken up. Elder Colton is going a whole 10 miles down the road to be in a different ward, and I'm going to be staying here in Quincy/Tally 3rd. I'm staying as the District Leader and I'm getting Elder Jackson as my new comp. I actually know Elder Jackson decently well, we flew in to Florida together and he's an absolute beast of a missionary. I'm super excited for this next transfer, we're gonna throw down some major miracles.
But other than that, that's all the news I really have for this week. The work is moving along, we're being guided by the spirit big time and miracles are being wrought in the land of Gadsden County. Keep being awesome, and remember that Jesus and I both love y'all. Have a great week!!

Spiritual Thought: Alma 7:11-12
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
Think about how much love this took. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, came down and suffered. He died. He went through THE most painful act in the history of the world, simply because of one thing-- Love. He loves us. And because He loves us, He took upon Himself every pain, every trial, every temptation. He took upon Himself the pain of a divorce, the ache of a premature death, the fear and pain of a terminal sickness, everything -- even something as small as the pain of a stubbed toe. He felt it all. He went through it all. Why? Because He loves us. And we get a whole day, to celebrate Him and thank Him for what He did, and does for each of us. Isn't Christ just amazing??
