Tallahasse Transfer 5 Week 4
Whaat is up y'all?? How has everyone been doing this fine week? I hope y'all are enjoying some beautiful spring weather and are getting ready to watch General Conference this upcoming Saturday and Sunday. I definitely am. I just love General Conference. But enough said, let's get into the week.
This week was actually pretty amazing, one of those weeks where you just know without a doubt, that God is paying attention and sending you down some nice little tender mercies. We saw miracle after miracle with our teaching pool this week. We've been struggling to get in contact, set up lessons, or find interest from any of our investigators, but this week we received some major personal revelation on what they needed to help them out. So we showed our faith, did what God was telling us, and now they're progressing well and we also found some new people! God is good my brothers and sisters. These experiences really have been a testimony builder of realizing just how personal God knows each of His children. Somehow he knows exactly what we need, when we need it, and how we need it. It's just so amazing, blows my mind sometimes. Why should we even worry if God is this closely involved in our lives??
So the transfer is moving along and is pretty close to being over, and one of the responsibilities of the District Leader is going on exchanges with every elder in the district. All of the exchanges are supposed to be done two weeks before the transfer is over. Now I had procrastinated these exchanges, but realized last week that I had 5 tradeoffs to go on, and 5 days left to complete them. So this week was back to back to back exchanges with the Elders in my district. It was so fun, just running around Quincy with a bunch of these guys, being led by God to work some major miracles. So I definitely learned why not to procrastinate on these, but hey it was a pretty fun week.
We also had a Mission Tour with none other than Elder Holland. Pretty amazing right. Now it wasn't THE Elder Holland, fire and brimstone, rebuke you then love you Holland, but it was his son, Elder Matthew Holland. So kind of like the Elder Holland free trial version. It was so revelatory though. Elder Holland is such an inspired man and he laid down some heat on us. The main theme of this conference was the power of the Book of Mormon, and how God has given it to us to literally change lives. Over and over again during this conference, I received witness after witness of the truthfulness and power of the Book of Mormon. It literally has changed my life, more so than probably anything else. There's just such a sweet spirit that comes from opening up that book and reading. So if you are struggling with something, if you have questions, if you want to find God, if you simply are just curious, I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon. And prepare to be amazed. So I guess you can say the conference was a success. We had some guest speakers, one of them was Lee Donaldson, the writer of the Donaldson Papers, hopefully fellow missionaries will know what I'm talking about. We received some powerful trainings and it was just a dang good experience. Jesus, the Book of Mormon, this church, they're all true.
Well that's about all that happened this week. God just keeps throwing us some tender mercies and miracles in little Tallahassee and Quincy. I'm loving it, im learning a lot, and I love and miss y'all. Have a great week!

Spiritual Thought: Amos 3:7
"Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets"
It's not often that you can literally hear God speak to us. Actually it rarely happens. But as this scripture tells us, God literally speaks to us through His chosen servants, the Prophets. God had prophets in the past, people such as Moses, Abraham, Isaiah, so it only makes sense that He would call more prophets to guide us. He simply loves us that much. And this Saturday and Sunday, from 10-12 and 2-4 MST, we can hear them, hear God speak to us. Tune in!!
