Tallahassee Transfer 5 Week 3

What is up y'all? How is everyone? How was your week? Hopefully everyone is doing absolutely amazing and getting pumped for general conference. Isn't direct revelation from God through His prophets just the best? Oh yeah and thanks so much everyone for the birthday wishes! Y'all are so amazing. Well with that let's get into it.
First off with teaching. This week was still a little slow, but things are picking up for sure! Something that I've really had to learn how to do is simply just completely rely on God and on the spirit, and expect miracles. In life it's often a whole lot easier just to rely on yourself and your power to get things done. But that isn't how God works. Each manifestation of his power (miracle) is always preceeded by an action on our part (faith). So we've really been trying to show the faith in just jumping into the work head first, working hard, and expecting God to use us to perform miracles. And this week we did see a pretty cool miracle! After a long day of contacting members and grey dots and literally not seeing success in any of these contacts, we were pretty done with working for that day. But we kept feeling like there was someone else that needed a visit. We felt prompted to visit a random investigator who had never answered us, stopped by his house, and had an awesome contact with like 8 different people. They told us that they had really needed the light we bring as missionaries. And now we're going to start teaching them. Pretty cool to see God literally guiding us to the people who really need Him in their life.
This week our mission president also had planned a District Leader Conference. So all the district leaders across the mission all went to Lake City to receive council from that inspired man. Me and elder Hernandez, another one of the DL's here in Tallahassee got to drive 2 hours down to Lake city, receive some serious revelation and guidance for 7 hours, and then drive 2 hours back. It was an awesome experience, I definitely needed a lot of the guidance and council that we received. I also got to see a fellow Meridianian while I was there, Elder Smith which was pretty cool.
Other than that things have just been trucking along. Working hard, seeing miracles, growing in my testimony and changing into a better person, I'm so grateful I've chosen to be out here on a mission. One of the best things I've chosen to do in my life for sure. But that's about all I have this week. Love y'all, make sure to prepare yourselves for conference next week. If you have any questions, watch it with those questions in mind. If you have any struggles, watch it with those struggles in mind. If you want to see God, and hear God, watch General Conference. And prepare to be amazed, and quite possibly enamored by those holy men.
Love y'all!!

Spiritual Thought: 3 Nephi 17:7
"7 Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy."
This is one of my favorite stories in the whole Book of Mormon, when Jesus visits, conforts, heals, and loves the people of the America's. I'm always struck by his compassion and love in this simple verse. Christ is so willing, so wanting to heal and help every single one of us. It doesn't matter who we are, what affliction we have, he just wants to wrap us up in a big hug and tell us everything is going to work out just right. So remember that, when you're going through something hard. Remember who is on your side. Go to Him, and give Him a big hug. And everything really will be alright.
