Dunn Ave Transfer 2 Week 5- "
Hola Familia y Amigos!
How has everyones week been? I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, we definitely did haha. This week went really good, God blessed us with a lot of miracles.
By the way of lessons this week we were stacked. Because of our area and being downtown we get a ton of people reaching out to us through facebook ads. So this week as we were reaching out we were able to set up a ton of lessons, and meet with them too which is a pretty rare occurrence! So that was super awesome. One of the main people that we picked up this week was a lady named Cynthia. She's pretty awesome, and loves us already. We showed up to teach her one of these times and she was gaming on GTA and eating hotdogs 😂 so she's pretty awesome. We also have a guy named Melvin who's pretty awesome, he loves us too and calls us "God's footsteps". One of the times that we went over to visit him he opened the door with a huge revolver in his hand so that was kind of sketchy haha. We had just forgotten to call him though so he was making sure it was safe. Its all been really good though, something that I've really been able to see is that as you give yourself up to God and His will, and follow those promptings that He gives you, then miracles can happen.
One amazing miracle that we saw this week was with a lady named Vickech. She was a lady that we were having bible studies with pretty frequently with. But about a month ago, she just ghosted us. We kept on trying to get in contact with her, but we weren't able to. This week we called her and we were going to drop her if she didn't answer. She answered, and so we set up a bible study. When the bible study came we realized we didn't really have a plan on what to teach. So we said a prayer with her, and then had a prompting to read Romans 8. We read some of the verses in that chapter, and it ended up being exactly what she needed hear. She had some pretty deep questions that were answered so it was an awesome study. Afterwards we also felt prompted to send President Nelsons gratitude video to her and so we did, and she loved it and is even going to do the social media challenge. The Lord provides!
Thanksgiving this week was also pretty sweet. We first had a Turkey Bowl and played some football. We then went over to a families house and had a massive Thanksgiving. Right after that, we went over to another families house and had another massive Thanksgiving. So I definitely had a food coma. But it was all great, the members were awesome for wanting to feed us. Then I got to talk to family and that was really cool, it was good to talk to people that I don't usually get to.
So that was my week, its all going good here in Jacksonville. The Lord provides as long as we put Him first, thats something that I've really learned. Next week is transfers and I've heard that they're making big changes in our district so we'll see what happens. Have a good week and remember to do the Light the World challenge!

Spiritual Thought: Romans 8:39
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
This has become one of my favorite scriptures to share to some of our investigators. It just really tells us of the love that Christ has for us. There literally is nothing, no sin, no trial, no weakness that we have, that can ever make Christ love us less, or help us less. So if you ever feel alone, or need some help, there is one place that you NEED to turn, because Christ is where the most joy and help comes from!
