Dunn Ave Transfer 2 Week 3- "Let God Prevail"

Hola Familia y Amigos!
How is everyone? I realized every email I send has the same start but if its not broke dont fix it. Maybe I'll make it two years with the same start. But things have been going good this week. The work definitely picked up a little bit.
This week was a lot of the same as last week, a lot of our time was used driving around visiting some of our investigators and members. We were able to teach a couple lessons off of this though which was really cool. We had some lessons with Noland and Jessie which went really good. One of the lessons that we had with them turned out to be pretty cool. The morning of the day that we had the lesson, I had studied prayer pretty deeply. We went over to their house, planning on teaching one thing, but felt pretty prompted to teach them about prayer. So we gave them a lesson on prayer, and I was able to share some cool scriptures and quotes that emphasized the power of prayer. Elder McDaniel had found some cool videos as well to share, and by the end of the lesson Nolan was in tears and telling us that this was exactly what he needed to hear. Pretty cool experience, and it really shows me that God truly is so aware of each one of us and our needs.
We also did some service this week, mowed some peoples lawns, moved some pianos, moved some mulch at a farm, all pretty fun stuff actually. At the farm they have a ton of random animals running everywhere, a ton of chickens, baby goats, baby pigs, and some dogs so it gets pretty fun sometimes haha.
We also had a "scare" with Hurricane Eta coming through. Our mission president had sent out a text letting us know that we had to be in our apartments by 11 am on Thursday, kind of a stay at home order so we would be safe through the hurricane. So we were inside for a couple hours before getting the green light to leave our apartment, and not a single raindrop fell during that time. Thank goodness we were safe during this time haha.
But other than that things are going good in Jacksonville. The work is going, the people down here are awesome, the weather is nice, and the church is true. That's all I got this week, have a good week! Feel free to send me an email or something, I'd love to hear from you all! Love you all!

Spiritual Thought:
"Are you willing to let God prevail in your life? Are you willing to let God be the most important influence in your life?"
This is something that I've been thinking a lot about. The world is so crazy right now, but God gives us a promise, if we just rely on Him, then we'll have the peace and joy that the world is lacking. It's that easy. And what easier way to rely on God than giving Him the wheel, and letting Him be the driving force in our lives and our choices??
