Dunn Ave -- Transfer 2 Week 2 -- "With God Nothing Shall Be Impossible"
Hola mi familia y amigos!
How is everyone? How was everyones week? Mine was pretty good, definitely a little tougher of a week. But thats alright, gotta have tough weeks to know what the good weeks are like.
This week was a lot of contacting people. In our area we have a ton of people who are yellow dots, or investigators, but not a ton that are progressing or that we have lessons with. So a lot of this week was driving around and trying to get in contact with people. It makes for pretty good work though, it's nice to be out of the apartment and doing stuff. And the weather has been really nice here, its been in the low 70's and sunny the past couple days which is a huge blessing. But not a lot of lessons were taught this week, a lot of them fell through. That's ok though, we're excited for this next week and some of the things that we have set up.
We also have been doing a good amount of service, especially for this one place called Celestial Farms. Its an animal rescue center that has a lot of work needed. We de things from build fences to catching pigs so it gets pretty interesting haha. But we did some service for them this week, as well as we did some service for a free food distribution center place. So some good stuff.
Other than that not a ton of stuff went on this week, we have a new district that's pretty fun, we went from 6 missionaries to 14 and they're all studs and good missionaries which is really fun. Good things are happening!
Spiritual Thought: Quote from President Nelson --
You who may be momentarily disheartened, remember, life is not meant to be easy. Trials must be borne and grief endured along the way. As you remember that “with God nothing shall be impossible” (Luke 1:37), know that He is your Father. You are a son or daughter created in His image, entitled through your worthiness to receive revelation to help with your righteous endeavors. You may take upon you the holy name of the Lord. You can qualify to speak in the sacred name of God (see D&C 1:20). It matters not that giants of tribulation torment you. Your prayerful access to help is just as real as when David battled his Goliath (see 1 Sam. 17).
I found this quote from President Nelson in a talk he gave a while ago and it was super powerful. I really love what it tells us. Life is going to be hard, and its going to be crazy. Thats inevitable. But remember who is on our side! We literally have an all powerful being, a God who is only a prayer away. And he is so willing, and wanting to help us through our storms. So if you ever feel down, if you ever feel like you don't know where to turn, turn to Him. Because something that I've really found to be true, is that through Christ, anything really is possible. And we can access Him and His loving grace at any moment. All we have to do is get on our knees and turn to Him.
Well thats all I got this week, send me an email, I'd love to hear from you all! And have an awesome week!
