Hola Familia y Amigos!
How is everyone? Jacksonville has been good, pretty normal though. We haven't had a lot of success getting in contact so this week was a lot of trying to do service opportunities. Its been really fun though just being able to serve people and help them feel Gods love. Mostly we've just been trying to weed or pick up peoples yards and so thats been fun. We also had a zone car wash this week too that was really fun. We just went to a church building and washed a ton of peoples cars which was cool. Other than that our week has just been a lot of contacting people on facebook, or visiting members and trying to help the ward out.
Now time for the big news. Our zone has just entered into a lock down, so all of the missionaries in our area are in quarantine. One of the missionaries ended up getting it and me and some other elders had spent a lot of time with him 😬😂 So that's pretty exciting! We'll be quarantined for two weeks and tested in about a week, but I'm feeling fine so thats a big blessing.
Everything has been good in Jacksonville, and this whole mission thing is pretty amazing. Its so cool just how many times we get to see the Lord helping us out in small ways. The Lord is so great y'all!
Spiritual thought: Mosiah 24:13-14
13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
I just came upon this scripture in one of my studies. Its just such an amazing reminder of the great love God has for every one of us. It doesn't matter what challenges we're going through, as long as we love Him and show our faith, then we WILL see miracles. Look for His hand in your life this week!
Well thats all I got, feel free to send me an email and talk because this quarantine thing can get kind of lonely haha. But love you all, have a good week!
