Semana 3: "When ye are in the service of your fellow beings"

Hola Familia y Amigos!
How has everyone's week been? Things have been going really good in the MTC. We're still just chugging along, learning a ton of spanish. It's crazy looking back and just seeing how much I've been able to learn in such a short amount of time! There definitely has been a lot of divine help during this process which is really cool to see. It's also crazy to think that I'm already half-way done with the MTC! It seems like not that long ago that I was starting this whole process.

This week has been good, pretty much the same as every other week. We're just doing the usual stuff, studying a lot of spanish, learning a lot about the gospel and how to teach it. My district has been really good and I'm glad I'm with all these guys. This week I had my preparation day on Tuesday because we were switching teachers. In the Peru MTC, you get one set of teachers, a Hermana and Hermano, for three weeks, then after those three weeks you get another set of teachers. So today will be my first class with my new teacher, pretty exciting. I am going to miss the teachers that I did have though. They were Hermana Juarez and Hermano Asencio, and they both were really cool. They had really strong testimonies and had us work really hard but they also were super cool and funny which was a really good balance. I'm going to miss them but I'm excited for new ones too.
Me and my companion also had the opportunity to teach a guy named Juan Diego (just my teacher pretending to be an investigator) and progress through the lessons with him. We finally ended teaching him the other day and invited him to be baptized and he said yes! Too bad he was already a member though 😂 it was a cool experience nonetheless. It was really cool just to learn how to teach in spanish, and how to bring the spanish into a lesson. Definitely was pretty hard but I'm really glad for the experience.
Thought: Mosiah 2:17- And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.
I read this scripture this week and it kind of took a different meaning for me. I was just thinking about who we all are to Heavenly Father, His literal children- and He loves all of us so much. When we serve others and help them be happy, it really is serving God, because that's all he wants for us! He wants us to be the happiest possible and so it is so important to Him if we simply just love and serve His children.
Well that's all I got for this week, hope everything is going well! Love you guys!!
