Happy New Years!
I don't really even know where to start with this week. It has just been a straight blur as everything just happened one thing after another, so forgive me if the email ends up being the same.
Right after I finished my Christmas Skype call, we headed over to teach one sister who is always just so welcoming to us. Turns out, that on Christmas, she invites all the neighboring kids over, gives them candy, and lets them play around in her yard.
We got there right as this was beginning, so she told us to teach the kids a lesson about Christmas and the meaning of it. We basically just read them Luke 2, translating as we went, and told them there is more to Christmas than presents. It ended up being
a pretty decent lesson, ending with them all singing a Pasko (Christmas) song for us(see the video). We ended up not being able to teach the sister, but she was appreciative of us for the lesson.
I went on splits twice this week, once with Elder Hullinger, who is one cycle ahead of me in the mission, and once with Elder Blake, who is my batch. Both ended up being really good days of work, and I learned a lot from both of them. Tagalog was definitely
fun those two days, but I seem to be able to get my point across, without offending people (as far I as could tell).
The rest of the week was pretty normal. Only thing coming up soon is transfers this week, and it is almost guaranteed that I am the one being transferred, as Elder Gordon still needs to train a new zone leader here. We have no idea if I'm being transferred
close, or across the mission, and we don't find out till tomorrow, so stay tuned 😉
Of course, I leave my rice counter: 121 (that is an average of 2 plates of rice a day this week)
INGAT!

P.S: My email is still randomly dropping people from the mass, so if you know someone who wants this email, but isn't getting it, let me know.
