Week 3

2 weeks are in the books. 2 of about... 104? So if you're someone who likes to watch the completion bar on a download or installation, we're at about the 2% mark at this point.
Yet it only feels like its been 3 days...
In all seriousness though (seriousness from me?🤔), These past 2 weeks have really just felt like one really long day. "The days are long, but the weeks are short." On Wednesday, some more new people came in and everyone in my district were just shocked that it had already been 2 weeks, and that we're almost halfway done with out MTC stay here in Provo before we head of to Manila. Hindi ko alam when that day is, but it's coming.
Food Update: Monday is fast food day. That is all.
As for how the language is coming... uhhhhh... lets just say it's coming shall we. I made a goal to memorize the ENTIRE First Vision sa Tagalog by this Sunday. I broke it up into 6 parts and I have 4 parts left to memorize. Nailed it. Pero in my defense, the first 2 parts made up the entire first paragraph, so at least I got that down. Other than memorization, we've also done more with grammar, and I don't hate it as much as I could hate it. We learned that when it comes to verbs, each verb normally has 2 different ways to conjugate it, and each way changes how the sentence is structured, while still remaining the same exact sentence. It really only changes when the sentence becomes a question. To make a sentence a question, you just add "ba." Simple enough right? Wrong. Cause there is a time and a place to use "ba," and it is never when you would think to. It's great.
I'll take some time to talk about our devotionals. This past Sunday, we had a great devotional where the admin of all MTC's across the world came and showed us how people were changed for the better after their missions. He also took time to brag about how all the other MTC's in the world are way nicer than here... but that's besides the point. He simply showed the before and after pictures of some return missionaries, and it was amazing how you could just see and feel the difference. Moving onto our Tuesday devotional, we had Elder Mckay, from the Seventy, come and speak about the Spirits of Prophecy and Revelation. I won't get too deep into it, but he essentially made it a point that the spirit is what teaches people, not the missionaries or the lessons.
I think I've gone on long enough so I will leave with what I hope will become a normal thing for me to give. A quote from a roommate.
"I bet Batman trains in the dark, with like, bats." -Elder Dunyon, 2018
Also, if the pictures don't send right, and you really want them, I'll send them directly to you.
Until next linggo,
